My Thoughts:
The mood for this one hit me today. I have not seen this movie since I was about 12 or 13 years old... we are talking over 30 years ago! And then I only seen it once or twice back then. So watching it today really was like watching it for the very first time. And I must say... I enjoyed every minute of it! This one definitely deserves it's popularity of the sci-fi classic that it is. I couldn't recommend it any stronger!

My Thoughts:
Felt like a Disney classic... and decided to pop this one in. I saw this movie the first time 3 years ago when I first got the DVD double feature set. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It has some good laughs in it... though it does look a little dated. But the movie is a good 50 years old now. I really enjoyed Haley Mills in this film... I thought she did a good job playing a pair of scheming twins determined to get their parents back together. And of course Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith was good as their parents as well. If you haven't had a chance to see this one I recommend it. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it.

My Thoughts:
Going by the plot for this one I will admit I was a bit concerned. But I have to say... I enjoyed every minute of it! I really enjoyed the story... and it had several laugh out loud moments for me. I was glad to see this one being Sharon and Susan grown up and getting involved with switching instead of them trying to do the same (or similar) thing with their kids this time. I also liked that they were able to get the same actress to play Sharon and Susan. I also liked that Tom Skerritt is in this movie. I have slowly become a fan of his over the last few years. It is a pleasant surprise that I liked this one almost... if not as much as the first part.

My Thoughts:
I know of a lot of people that dislike Adam Sandler... but I personally have always enjoyed his movies. I also have enjoyed Drew Barrymore in most the stuff I have seen her in. So this movie is a no-brainer for me. I did enjoy this movie... Very much so... even more then I remembered! It is definitely a more mature comedy then a lot of other Adam Sandler movies. Drew Barrymore was great as the cute and sweet girl next door with no short term memory. I also loved how they ended this movie. They opted to make it more realistic instead of trying to pull off some sort of miracle cure for Lucy. Was there anything I didn't like about this movie? Sure... there is the walrus vomit joke which would have fit in many Sandler movies... but just didn't belong in this one... then there was Lucy singing the Beach Boy Song with a terrible (hopefully fake) singing voice. And lastly I didn't care much for Lucy's brother. But all that is really minor... and didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie much... if at all. I would say even if you do not usually enjoy Adam Sandler movies... give this one a chance... you may be surprised.

Hmmm, I'm one of those who usually can't stand Adam Sandler. Not a big fan of Rob Schneider either. Drew Barrymore - ok sometimes. Looking at Peter Segal's filmography, there's not much encouragement there. The third Naked Gun movie was the weakest of the three, but acceptable. Other than that - nothing. I think I'll pass...

I have some friends that tease me every time I watch this movie... because I have seen it so many times. So first let me say to them. I checked DVD Profiler... I last watched this film 2 years ago... So I don't want to hear it! :P

I have seen this movie get not so great reviews on the net... but I have to say... it is one of my favorite Sandra Bullock movies. I have watched it countless times. I find this movie to just be pure fun. There is several parts of this movie that I literally laughed out loud on. Sandra Bullock really has a great style in this movie. Shows that she can really hold her own when it comes to comedy.

Although I agree about a lot of Sandler's bits .. and Schneider <groan> .. but "50 First Dates" is another of Sandler's films that I really like and there are only a couple.  The chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore is really quite good.  This is one of those 'guilty pleasure' films that I get stuck watching when it is on <G>
Thank you

My Thoughts:
I was looking through my DVDs and this one popped out at me. I haven't watched this one in a good 5 years. This is a movie that I just find plain fun... nothing more then that. Just "leave your brain at the door" fun. It has a nice mixture of comedy that works well in my opinion. It is just a shame that they did not add any type of extras for this one. A definite treat for anyone that likes '80s horror. If you never seen this one... you should give it a chance.

Another one of my guilty pleasure films <g> ... seems like they are all being hit.  The story is slack, production is cheap and the acting is .. well there really isn't any.  But Kelli Maroney and Catherine Mary Stewart were a hoot.  And I loved the car that Hector drove.
Thank you

Not liking movies with Adam Sandler is usually a safe bet.

Except for three (sort by alpha)
- 50 First Dates
- Funny People
- Reign Over Me

I liked this one.... but I do think it could have been better. Especially towards the beginning of the movie. But as it went on it did get better. It is a decent story with a few laughs. I would have liked to seen a little more comedy in it though. I liked both Drew Barrymore and David Arquette in it. I wouldn't say it is a favorite... but I can see myself watching it again at some point. It's worth the time needed to watch it.

Wikipedia Link for The Last Man on Earth

Genre: Horror
Rating: NR
Have I seen it before: No
Do I Like it as much:
Last Watched: 7/21/2013

Review: 4.0/5

This is a great film.  Yes it suffers from too low a budget and not very good director/production .. other than that it is a great interpretation of the novel I am Legend written by Richard Matheson.  With the screenplay originally written by Matheson but later he disliked the end product he actually used a pseudonym so he could retain payment.

It is different from the novel in several ways but to me is a grittier, closer representation.  I love Vincent Price in most of his endeavors and he certainly does not leave wanting in this one.

This is a strong recommendation
Thank you
David
