Well... yeah... a couple things.
I wasn't sure about that till just a moment or two ago.
That Robby the Robot has it's own IMDB page... some reason it never occurred to me to even look for a robot on there...

I love
Forbidden Planet
. It's one of my personal favorites. It's got really great effects for it's time and a good story. Don't expect a modern sci-fi blockbuster, it's not that kind of film, it's old school. It's a sci-fi classic and Robby is an icon, so any sci-fi fan should see it at some point.

If I was to do a Sci-Fi Top10, I'd put Forbidden Planet in my Top5.
I personally thought that Splice was brilliant, and posed some very interesting questions about scientific progress and human nature.

Family Ties: The Complete First Season
Loving parents Steven (Michael Gross) and Elyse Keaton (Meredith Baxter Birney) raise their kids with open hearts and open minds. Growing up in the 1960s, Mom and Dad share a liberal point of view, and guide their family with the ideals and convictions of flower power at its best. Their offspring, however, have different ideas. Eldest son Alex P. Keaton is an over-achieving, hard-core Republican, and clashes with his parents at every turn. Mallory is a fashion-loving, boy-crazy teen struggling through high school, while little sister Jennifer is the precocious tomboy who always speaks her mind. Together, they share the moments that make them laugh, make them cry...and make them family.
Episode List:
1. Pilot
2. Not with My Sister You Don't
3. I Know Jennifer's Boyfriend
4. Summer of '82
5. I Never Killed for My Father
6. Give Your Uncle Arthur a Kiss

just found out a friend of mine is sending me the following movies...
Stage Beauty
"A woman playing a woman. Where's the trick in that?"- Welcome to 17th Century stage, where Ned Kynaston's (Billy Crudup) performance of Desdemona in Shakespeare's 'Othello' brings the house down nightly. Ned is the "most beautiful woman on the London stage." That is, until the King renounces the royal edict that only men can play women on stage. Enter Maria (Claire Danes), Ned's seemingly loyal dresser, who becomes an instant star, leaving Ned to suppress his ardent feminine traits and make a man of himself.
Splinter
Tom Sizemore ('Saving Private Ryan', 'Black Hawk Down') stars as a dirty cop on the gang-ravaged streets of East L.A. in this smart and gritty thriller. A bloody drive-by shooting leaves "Dreamer" badly wounded and his brother dead. With a rising number of bizarre murders and hacked-up bodies, police aren't sure if they have a gang war or a serial killer on their hands. Their only chance of finding out lies with Dreamer, who must piece together his shattered memory of the shooting...before it's too late.
Dark Matter
Elite local patron Joanna (Meryl Streep), welcomes Chinese student Liu Xing to Valley State University, where he enters with dreams of fame and a Nobel Prize. But cultural differences and school politics threaten his ambitions and result in his downfall. Based on actual events,
Dark Matter
is a thrilling examination of the origins of the universe, the dark side of cutthroat academics, and the pursuit of the American dream.
You Move You Die
Mike has the girl, the time, and the place. The problem is...he doesn't have the ring. Before Mike has the chance to make his proposal, he's mugged at random and the ring is stolen. Now, desperate to recover it, he and his friends have just one hour to get the ring back and make the date before all is lost with his 'beloved' Emma. But neither Mike nor his friends are what they seem—and before the hour is up, a lot of people will die...
Shot in real time,
You Move You Die
is an intense, potent mix of biting wit and tongue-in-cheek comedy. Prepare for an explosive film with a jarring dose of reality.
Day Zero
DAY ZERO stars Elijah Wood, Jon Bernthal, Chris Klein and Ginnifer Goodwin. DAY ZERO is a timely political and personal story of three young men as the military draft is reinstated. Three best friends, a successful lawyer, a though-as-nails cab driver, and a writer with a host of insecurities, are drafted and given 30 days to report for duty. In that time they're forced to confront everything they believe about courage, duty, love, friendship and honor.
Night Junkies
Against riverfront London's sordid backdrop of seedy nightclubs, winding streets and dark alleyways, a modern-day Jack the Ripper stalks his prey... Meanwhile, troubled, newly "turned" exotic dancer Ruby and her brooding vampire lover Vincent struggle to resist their overpowering addiction to the "drug" that both sustains and shatters them: Blood.
Cyber Wars
A bounty hunter and a police detective find themselves on the run after they uncover a diabolical "game" set in motion by several elite corporate leaders. As they race against the clock to save not only their own lives but the lives of everyone in the city, they soon discover they are no longer hunters – they are the hunted.
Day Night Day Night
Inspired in part by a true story, faith comes face-to-face with failure as a 19-year-old girl prepares to become a suicide bomber. There is no explanation as to "why" she has come to her conviction, only that she believes her decision absolutely. Wrought with fear and anticipation, hints of doubt and signs of a failed mission,
Day Night Day Night
creates an unsettling, intense, and completely unpredictable viewing experience. .
Starkweather
Before Bundy, before Manson, before Dahmer, Charles Starkweather, accompanied by his 14-year-old girlfriend Caril Ann, terrorized America with a brutal killing spree that horrifed the entire country.
Their serial killing resulted in 11 horrific human slaughters, as they unleashed their wrath through the states of Nebraska and Wyoming.
Charles Starkweather's life inspired such film classics as 'BADLANDS', 'NATURAL BORN KILLERS', 'TRUE ROMANCE' and 'KALIFORNIA'.
This is the true story of America's most notorious teenage killer.
I See You.com
Before YouTube...before MySpace...before Facebook there was I-SEE-YOU.com and Colby Allen (Mathew Botuchis), the teen who invented user-generated content by secretly installing nanny-cams in his parents' home and turning his family into the internet's first Live Feed! reality show.
Pocketing a cool $17K a week, Colby convinces his parents (Beau Bridges and Rosanna Arquette) that dysfunction sells. Something else sells, too: the vid stream of Colby's 18-year old stepsister Audrey (Baelyn Neff), whose unwitting on-cam display of assets launches his enterprise in a big way. Nothing good on TV? Log on. The Belingers are just getting started.
I never seen any of them before.

I been doing a lot of trades lately with the store that a friend works at. A bonus for me is that this generous friend likes to put a little something extra in my package before sending it to me... I found out this morning she will be sending me...
American Horror Story: The Complete First Season
Brace yourself for an addictive thrill ride!
American Horror Story
is TV's most original new drama, a deeply stylish psychosexual haunt devised to keep you on the edge of your seat. The Harmon's (DYLAN McDERMOTT, CONNIE BRITTON) fresh start in a new home deviously twists to reveal discoveries of love, sex and murderous revenge. Featuring a Golden Glober -winning performance by JESSICA LANGE, Season One scares up a host of engrossing extras.
Episodes:
1. Pilot
2. Home Invasion
3. Murder House
4. Halloween, Pt. 1
5. Halloween, Pt. 2
6. Piggy, Piggy
7. Open House
8. Rubber Man
9. Spooky Little Girl
10. Smoldering Children
11. Birth
12. Afterbirth
Which is a very cool thing... since I only got to see a few episodes when it originally aired... do to my DVR went on the blink at the time.
