Yes... for free.  And I guess I am just lucky. I have a lot of them tell me they want to give them to someone who will really appreciate them and take care of them the way they would... and that they believe that is me. Which is true on both counts of course.

I have a package on the way from our friend Kathy's Free DVD thread. They could be here any day now. I have on the way....

Creature
A group of scientists and explorers arrive on Saturn's largest moon, Titan, to examine archaic artifacts of unknown origin. When a mysterious canister is uncovered, an eons-old monster is released, with deadly results. A rival exploration team is sent to investigate their disappearance and the "Creature" is there to greet then with a deadly welcome. Klaus Kinsky is wonderful as the ever-leering lecherous sole survivor of the previous expedition. Violence, nudity, adult situations and explicit language are present throughout this film.
2001: A Space Odyssey
2001: A Space Odyssey is a countdown to tomorrow, a road map to human destiny, a quest for the infinite. It is a dazzling, Academy Award™-winning† visual achievement, a compelling drama of man vs. machine, a stunning meld of music and motion. It may be the masterwork of director Stanley Kubrick (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke)...and it will likely excite, inspire and enthrall for generations.

To begin his voyage into the future, Kubrick visits our prehistoric ape-ancestry past, then leaps millennia (via one of the most mind-blowing jump cuts ever conceived) into colonized space, and ultimately whisks astronaut Bowman (Keir Dullea) into uncharted realms of space, perhaps even into immortality."Open the pod bay doors, HAL." Let the awe and mystery of a journey unlike any other begin.

†1968: Special Visual Effects
The Blood Beast Terror
Corpses drained of blood and marked with strange wounds are discovered during the dark nights of Victorian England. When horror great Peter Cushing (Hammer’s Dr. Frankenstein) as Inspector Quennell investigates, he discovers one of the most bizarre monsters in movie history…a giant, blood-sucking moth with the ability to take on human form! A crazed entomologist (Robert Flemyng, The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock) trying to make a mate for the monster needs blood for the experiment, and he’s got his eye Quennell’s daughter. Creepy, atmospheric…and just absurd enough to be a lot of fun!
Taxi
Sassy hip-hop star Queen Latifah brings hilarious attitude to this hard-driving, high octane comedy! Latifah plays Belle, New York’s finest cabbie, whose taxi-driving expertise – not to mention her loaded-to-the-max vehicle – comes in handy when an overeager young undercover cop (Jimmy Fallon) must crack a bank robbery plot hatched by a gang of sexy supermodels! Don’t miss this tire-squealing, stop-on-a-dime comedy with a topflight cast of stars, including Ann-Margret, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and NYPD Blue's Henry Simmons.
Alien 3000
After a series of brutal, unexplained murders in a remote forest, a rogue military unit is recruited to hunt for whoever – or whatever – has rendered the attacks. In order to carry out the investigation, they need the help of the only survivor, Kate (Megan Malloy). But first they have to get her released from the mental institution she's been committed to since the horrific attack.
Captivity
Top cover girl and fashion model Jennifer Tree (Elisha Cuthbert) has it all – beauty, fame, money and power. Everyone wants her... but some more than others. Alone after a charity event, she is drugged and taken.

Directed by acclaimed director Roland Joffe, Captivity delves deep into the minds of both captor and victim. Called one of the most controversial films of the year, Captivity will leave you terrified and looking over your shoulder wondering if you could be next!
Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid
The blood orchid - A rare flower that holds the secret of eternal life and a fortune to the pharmaceutical company that finds it. Led by a two-fisted soldier of fortune, a scientific expedition is sent deep into the jungles of Borneo to locate and bring back samples of the legendary plant. Battling their way upriver, the explorers brave poisonous insects, ferocious crocodiles and savage headhunters, unaware they're being stalked by an even greater danger: a nest of giant anacondas, voracious, fifty-foot-long flesh-eaters who'll stop at nothing to protect their breeding ground, the blood orchid's home.
Boa vs. Python
Two of nature's biggest and most terrifying scaled predators square off in an action-filled battle of fangs.  When a gigantic python gets loose on a private reserve, the FBI must release an equally large boa to track and capture it as a group of wealthy big game hunters try to bag the python as a trophy for themselves.
Spanglish
John Clasky (Adam Sandler) is a devoted dad whose skills as a chef have afforded his family (Téa Leoni, Cloris Leachman) a very upscale life, including a summer home in Malibu and a breathtaking new housekeeper, Flor (Paz Vega). She and her daughter have recently emigrated to L.A. from Mexico, and are trying to find a better life. When they move in with the Claskys for the summer, Flor has to fight for her daughter's soul as she discovers that life in a new country is perilous...especially when you're being embraced by an affluent, eccentric American family!
The Pink Panther
When a star soccer coach is murdered and his priceless Pink Panther diamond stolen, France is in an uproar. Fortunately, Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin, Bowfinger, Cheaper by the Dozen) is on the case. He doesn't have a clue, but for Clouseau, that's just a minor detail. With his partner, Gilbert Ponton (Jean Reno, The Da Vinci Code, The Professional), he careens from one misadventure to the next, leaving mayhem in his wake from the boulevards of Paris to the streets of New York. Will he seduce the pop diva, Xania (Beyoncé Knowles, Austin Powers: Goldmember)? Will he push Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Oscar® Winner Kevin Kline, 1988 Best Supporting Actor, A Fish Called Wanda) over the edge? Will he catch the killer and recover the diamond? With Inspector Clouseau, anything is possible.
The Whole Ten Yards
When last seen, retired hitman Jimmy "The Tulip" wasn't seen at all. He was dead and gone...to Mexico. Dentist Oz Oseransky faked dental records that proved Jimmy's death and allowed him to secretly vamoose to a bunny-slippered Baja life. Then one day Oz shows up uninvited with a simple request. H-E-L-L-L-P!

Five stars return for a crazier-plus-one sequel to The Whole Nine Yards. This time, Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is reeled in to help rescue Oz's wife (Natasha Henstridge) after phonetically challenged mobster Lazlo (Kevin Pollak) kidnaps her. Jimmy's wife (Amanda Peet), an eager wannabe assassin, is thrilled to be back in the game. Panicked Oz (Matthew Perry) is sure they're all going to wake up dead. And everything spins into gleeful new realms of the whacked and wacky. How does it all end this time? Sorry. Our tulips are sealed.
Dead Creatures
In the center of a large and unknowing city, a group of young women huddle together in a small apartment, tending to a sick friend whose skin is rotting to the bone. These women have been cursed with a secret malady that has made them members of an urban subculture, where their only way of survival is to continually feed on humans. They have been forced to abandon their once normal lives to now prowl the dark streets and alleyways in search of their next victim. But these hunters are also being hunted. There is a mysterious man walking these same streets, who will stop at nothing until they are abolished - one by one.
Welcome to the doomed universe of Andrew Parkinson's Dead Creatures.
Totally Rosie
Laugh along to these rare routines from Rosie O'Donnell's early career as a stand-up comic!

Live from Rascal's Comedy Club, catch these rare performances from America's favorite entertainer Rosie O'Donnell. Before her own talk show, before Broadway, before Hollywood films - This is a surprising and candid Rosie that most of her fans have never seen. All of these early career bits solidified her place in show business and give a rare glimpse into the Rosie that everyone knows and loves: singing, dancing, and delivering that trademark giggle. With an off-the-wall comedy approach covering a wide range of topics, this star of the big and small screen shows how funny she's always been, even before finding stardom.

At one of the comedy clubs that helped break her career, multi-talented comedienne Rosie O'Donnell is totally hysterical live onstage in these never-before-available early routines.
Hoodwinked
So you think you know the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
Don't be to sure...One of your favorite fairy tales is turned upside-down and inside-out in what the L.A.Times called "high-energy, imaginative entertainment." Whit irreverent storytelling, spunk and wit, Hoodwinked delivers a comedy caper for the young, the young at heart and everyone in between. When the police arrive at Granny's cottage in the woods to answer a domestic disturbance call, it looks like just another open-and-shut case. But Red, Granny, the Big Bad Wolf and the woodsman are not your usual suspects, as they have their own dark secrets, wily deceptions and conflicting accounts of the crime. Together, they must put aside their differences and find their own original twist on Happily Ever After in this "raucous, genre-busting, animated gem(Entertainment Weekly, The Must List."
Automaton Transfusion
Featuring the leanest, meanest and fastest zombies ever filmed, Automaton Transfusion is a non stop horror masterpiece that "pushes the outer envelope of on screen violence" (Esplatter.com). As a group of teenagers fight an army experiment gone awry, hordes of hungry, flesh eating undead surge through their town – ripping jaws, snapping bodies and devouring men, women and children! Definitely not for the faint of heart, Automaton Transfusion is a "completely brutal...gore fest" (Moviethunder.com) that shockingly redefines the zombie genre.
Dark Heaven
Officer Gabriel Goodman lives in a dark world where nothing matters since the death of his wife and son. He awakes one day to empty streets, vacant buildings and a deserted world. Drawn to a church, he discovers a few survivors struggling to survive against the dark satanic forces seeking to possess their souls.

In the ultimate battle between good and evil, the whole world is at stake. With angels on his side, only Gabriel can save mankind from the apocalypse and return us to the world we once knew.
Valkyrie
"Tom Cruise gives one of the best performances of his career" (Jeffrey Lyons, NBC/Reel Talk) in this action-packed film from the director of The Usual Suspects and X-Men. Based on the incredible true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise) and his ingenious assassination plot targeting Adolph Hitler, this engrossing thriller reenacts the daring operation to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known. Co-starring Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Terence Stamp and Eddie Izzard, Valkyrie delivers gripping suspense and pulse-pounding excitement from start to finish!

I was talking to a friend of mine... telling him what DVDs I had coming. I mentioned looking forward to Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid ... as I liked the first movie (Anaconda) and I never seen any of the sequels. That is when he told me... "Good News... I have something for you." That is when I found out he will be sending me...

Anaconda 3: Offspring
Coil up on the couch and prepare yourself for more action, more danger and more snakes! The giant anacondas are back in the next chapter in the thrilling series, starring David Hasselhoff as Hammett, the ruthless mercenary and snake slayer. In a secret government compound, two mega snakes are undergoing testing by a brilliant scientist, Amanda (Crystal Allen). But when the financier, Murdoch (John Rhys-Davies), pushes the experiments too far, the snakes escape, hungry and heading for civilization. What Hammett doesn't know is that one of the snakes is expecting a litter of slithering offspring. Now the race is on to head off the snakes' unstoppable onslaught before they reach the city.

Found out a friend is sending me this one as a late birthday present...

Rabid
With Rabid, acclaimed director David Cronenberg (The Fly, Dead Ringers, Crash, Naked Lunch) delivers a high-tension, thriller the way only Cronenberg can.

After undergoing radical emergency surgery, Rose (adult film star Marilyn Chambers in her first leading role in a mainstream film) develops an insatiable desire for blood. She searches out victims to satisfy her incurable craving, infecting them with an unknown disease which in turn swiftly drives them insane and equally bloodthirsty.

Follow the lovely but deadly Rose through her terrifying ordeal as victim by victim the spreading circle of casualties grows... until no one can escape their grisly fate of becoming... Rabid.

I heard of this one but never seen it. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

You have never watched this film :o
This is a great Canadian classic, a very important film where you will see what Montreal looked like in the seventies. Marilyn Chambers is excellent in this one and the movie have some great special effects. If you are attentive you will realized that Cronenberg did preview a future virus with this...

It isn't as good as Shivers but it isn't far from it, David Cronenberg did his best work working in our province early in his career (Shivers, Rabid and Scanners). Of course those others two are also highly recommanded if you have never see them.

BTW Cronenberg had a good commentary on this disc (at least on the french canadian release).
