What should be my next movie marathon?
« on: June 05, 2009, 04:26:04 PM »
I have now a week vacation and I thought, depending on the weather, about doing one or two movie marathons. So I thought to give you some chance to give input, as to what you would like me to review. Here are the choices I am thinking about:

"Shop Around the Corner" marathon
  • Shop Around the Corner
  • In the Good Old Summertime
  • You've Got Mail

Lesbian Movie Marathon: "Just try to finish that damn thing already!"
I have almost 20 movies left which would qualify for this marathon.

Alien Quadrilogy

Kevin Smith Marathon
  • Clerks
  • Mallrats
  • Chasing Amy (watched recently)
  • Dogma
  • Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
  • Jersey Girl
  • Clerks II
  • Zack & Miri Make a Porno (watched recently)

Lethal Weapon 1-4

Other Request:
You would like to see another specific marathon. Please elaborate. It must be in my collection though!

Can you generate a list of unwatched movies from your collection for us to view Tom?
Might bring some ideas for us

I don't have that many unwatched movies. Besides the Hitchcock movies and one or two for the Lesbian movie marathon, there aren't any which would fit into a marathon.
Another option I thought about adding to the poll was "Use the time to cut down your unwatched TV shows already!"

So far four members have voted and all of them want to see some lesbian reviews
I will try to watch at least a couple of movies for this marathon during this week. I even have ordered some additional fodder yesterday.

Strangely, it says 5 total voters, but the graphic shows 7 votes.

I voted for the lesbians too. I don't care much for the other stuff and it's a broad theme that allows for some real gems. From the ones you already did, Lost and Delirious and Fucking Amal come to mind.

Recommendations:

High Art (1998)
Mulholland Drive (2001)
My Summer of Love (UK 2004)

I have allowed up to 3 options for each voter. One of the first voters has used this possibility and cast 3 votes.

I might join you with Lethal Weapon's or Smith; I could include Die Hard 4 and his stand-ups on that one...  :P

If Lethal Weapons wins and time allows I'll join in on this one.

If I still own the movies....I don't remember

I will start a thread for the Lethal Weapon marathon now. I haven't watched these movies since I bought them 8 years ago.
I also will try to fit in some lesbian movies this week. Maybe I will also watch one or two Smith movies outside a dedicated marathon.
