Wasn't SG-1 a Showtime show in the beginning?

And Buffy switched networks after the fifth season.

Quite possible.. I went to one of the online episode guide sites to find out... between TV.com and epguides.com so they could have had it wrong. But I think I remember something like that too now that you mention it. I will have to see if I can find out for sure.. thanks :)

Thought that the Buffy one didn't sound right either.  but as I said... was going by another site :P

IT Crowd is Channel 4.

By the way, speaking of British TV, anyone seen Primeval? It's ITV, not BBC, but pretty good. Sort of, Stargate meets Jurassic Park. Basic and cheesy, but has got quite clever and scary in the later series. Basically "anomalies" open randomly and form portals to other times, the most popular being the past, and various dinosaurs come lumbering through and causing havoc. They also open into the future and it's a bit of a mess to say the least. Good fun!

Saw most of the 1st season of Primeval last year. It ran here on some BBC America channel (even though it's not a BBC show  ). I missed the last couple of episodes and planned on grabbing the DVDs. Never did. Now Season 2 is currently running. I need t just go grab the DVDs soon. I really enjoyed the show.

I will admit some parts were difficult to understand.  :bag: I'm used to a different type of "English"  :-\

I did find it funny the way they kept coming up with ideas to have the one girl run around in her undies all the time

EDIT: $34.99 at Amazon for seasons 1 & 2. Added to cart.

That should catch a few more people's attention!  :hysterical: She's a cute little minx as well... ;)

I think we're in the middle of season 3 at the moment. They've come up with some nice twists to keep the plot fresh. And I hear that it has done well enough in the US that there will be an proper American version, though not a remake, thank goodness, but an international spin-off, CSI style. I like that, because the show would actually benefit from it without it feeling like a cash-in. All this could lead to a movie.

ITV tried to follow up the success with Demons. Tried to be like Buffy, but it was dreadful! Not helped by Life On Mars' Philip Glenister who for some reason played an American. Actually you should watch it, because you'd get a kick out of his horrendous accent!

We took S1 Primeval away with us on holiday last year to watch in the late evenings, and all loved it.
