Since I have the first season now on DVD - could you rephrase that question? What do you mean by "the standard"?

And now I am gonna hijack this topic.

Over the last view days I watched the first season and have to say: I am intrigued. I was never much into horror, but Buffy and Angel brought me closer to that topic. Still, I don't consider neither B nor A really as horror, just as fantasy. The humour and the monsters/demons didn't make me feel that I was watching a horror show.

Supernatural on the other hand. That's pure and dark evilness. That's what I'd consider horror. It's a good show IMHO and while I like both leads, I like Jensen Ackles (whom I already know from Smallville) a bit better. And it was a real bargain for 9 pounds.

And here "sings" Jensen Ackles to "The Eye of the Tiger": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgd30bjQmes

Second season is ordered.

I have the first 3 seasons... and anxiously awaiting the release of season 4. Definitely one of my favorite current shows.  I not sure what is being asked about standard features... but each season has a nice selection of extras.

Season 1...
Featurettes
Audio Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Outtakes/Bloopers

DVD-ROM Content

Season 2...

I just wondered if they were decent quality.

I hate it when a "Behind the Scenes" documentary or "Cast & Crew" interviews turns out to be a 5 or 10 minutes if stuff that were probably cut from promotional interviews.

Thanks.

Especially curious about the bloopers (as the clip that DJ linked to shows) as they seem to have a really good rapport and imagine that they...huhmm "corpse" a fair bit.

I have to look into it, I usually don't watch bonus material of every kind.

Here I am and my report as to the quality of the featurettes goes as follows: There are none. At least not on the british DVDs (EAN 7321900810685), comprising of the half season boxes 7321900810692 and 7321900810708.

I don't recall specifics.  But I seem to recall that they were average / above average.  Of course I love this show, so that probably has some influence on my opinion.  Plus I haven't watched them in forever.

On another note, here at work for the past 4-5 years we've been watching a TV show during lunch every Tuesday & Thursday.  It's a fun group activity.  We're now on season 3 of Supernatural.  So I've actually made some converts!  Prior to Supernatural we watched Smallville, Lost, Babylon 5, and maybe one or two others that aren't coming to mind right now.

I have never seen an episode, so I don't know if they have a point here:
Cracked On Supernatural

As much as I like a good sarcastic review, but this review hit the nail only a few times head-on. The rest of the time it wildly hammered around, deformed the nail and didn't manage to put into into the plank.
