Actually I haven't bought it yet. I also have  yet to get The Pitt. The only one I got so far is Operation: Anchorage.

And yes, I play on 360.

Right now, I'm actually playing Eternal Sonata.

This is just crazy!

Tonight, was the first beta of a new Xbox Live game: 1 vs 100.

The Beta is exclusive to Canada, so i could get in... theoretically.

This is, it was disconnectorama! I've never had such a bad beta experience. Even the first few hours of existence of Xbox Live back then weren't that bad. You'd think Microsoft would know a thing or two about server scaling and making sure people can at least connect to the game. In the 2 hours the game lasted, I managed to answer a whopping total of 7 questions (we're talking 30-40 seconds per question in reality, but with all the disconnects going on...) At least I 100% accuracy ;)

But the concept of the game is awesome. Basically, you have a live show pre-scheduled. Then, at showtime, you connect to the game and enter a lobby, then join the game. From there, you can be The One, part of The Mob, or in the Crowd. And you answer questions. There's a live host commenting the game as it progresses. The One and the Mob are chosen randomly from the crowd. It could be something really awesome... assuming they fix the connectivity issues.

We'll see how it goes on Tuesday for the second live Beta... let's hope they fix these major issues until then.

Sounds like an interesting concept.

For the disconnects, I'll agree that MS should know a little better than that, but then it's beta after all and the purpose it to get it right until release ;)

Hey Achim! Looks like you'll have much of Fallout 3 playing to do soon!
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/19/fallout-3-dlc-coming-to-ps3-beginning-late-june-two-new-multipl/

They've also announced 2 new DLC pack!

-----------------------------------

I'm still digging Eternal Sonata.

I'm at chapter 3 and enjoying it quite a bit! There's even been the first twist in the story!

I love the combat in it. But now I'm stumped on a puzzle.. There's a chest behind fog that I have to lift by lighting a green candle.. but I can't find the green flame to light it! And I still refuse to use a guide (I may resort to it soon though, because I'm getting utterly fed up with trying to find said flame).

-----------------------------------

Looks like they fixed the connection problems on 1 vs 100. I haven't had a disconnect starting from the second live game, including all the extended play I participated in. It's looking good! The game fun, especially with friends. It's fast paced and I've discovered something shameful - I don't know much about Canada outside Quebec!  :-[ (most of the trivia questions are about Canada - culture, geography, politics, history, etc.)

That is really exciting news to me! I am enjoying the second ("evil") play through right now (I forgot how tough it was in the beginning ). Wil continue after the cap-lift with the "good" character. Looking forward to take a break (there will be other games to play...) and then returning once Broken Steel is out, therefore using the other two DLCs for leveling up as well.

Sounds like my times with Monkey Island... Well, do I have to reconsider my stance and try out this one...? :hmmmm:

Good to see they came around quickly and you are enjoying the game. The PS3 has something called Buzz! but I believe it lacks online gameplay.

Too bad I don't have time to play these games.
I didn't even buy the second Sam & Max game season, as I didn't even came around to playing the first season.

Aww man! I had Mass Effect laying pretty much dormant in my games library for a while (it came out in 2007 and bought it on release day!) and I put it last week, when I started my vacations.

Well, now, 10 days or so into my vacations, I'm already on my third playthrough, and I'm actually doing all the achievements .. what's up with that? I never cared for achievements! Especially those that require you to go through a game at least THREE times.. Yet I'm doing it for this one.

Yes, I find it's THAT good.

Heeeeelp!

I am not into the online at all, but the single player looks awesome, ahem, AWESOME all the same.

In the meantime they also released some multiplayer trailers. Most famous one is this one, I think:

Two more games completed today!  :yahoo:

I finished Eternal Sonata this afternoon. I still love it, although the ending is... confusing to say the least. I read a bit, and it makes sense now, but while it was playing... wow! (the PS3 version of the game clears it up a bit more)

Then, I went and finished GTA IV.. finally! I still firmly believe that the bank heist mission about halfway through the game is the highlight of the game, then it drags on a bit, but at least it finishes with a bang, along with a rather difficult choice to make, considering the consequences...

Now I have to decide.. Star Ocean, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery or Fable II ?? Or, a complete change of style and go for the Halo Trilogy?

I think most people agree with you here, that Three Leaf Clover is the best mission in the game. Funny thing was, that I had a hard time getting to the end at first and then at some point it clicked and it all went smoothly (from what I read many people share this experience).

The one thing that I didn't like about that last mission was the long opening section to reach the abondoned casino. I failed with the motorcycle on the beach so many times (or died in the preceeding battle) that I almost could drive that one with my eyes closed. ::)

I assume you eventually played through both choices...?

I don't really now any of those (heard of some).

I recently played through Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and had a lot of fun with that. It's a FPS in a Western setting. Plays very different to those fast games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as the weapons handle much slower...

I didn't mind it, although there's a very simple reason why.. I succeeded on my second try! The first try I missed the ramp to jump to the helicopter (I actually ended up back on the roads and lost the guy I was chasing). Second try went very smoothly, though I was running low on ammo..

As for playing through the other choice.. well I didn't see it coming and didn't know about it, so I don't have a save before the choice, so I'll have to replay the whole game for it, and I'm not replaying it at this time. But I'l revisit it eventually, I want to find the flying rats and jumps, as well as do the vigilante missions.

And I guess I'll do Fable II now.. I've started it already, actually advanced quite a bit in the story, but it's been so long, I think I'll restart. I haven't decided yet.
