Really? I thought it was proving popular and the turkey was Medal of Honor. Which, by the way, I really like!

You see, a lot of hardcore gamers are actually wankers who like nothing better than to nit pick at games. And do stupid things like returning a game not because they don't like it, they just do it out of spite.

Anyway what do all the xbox owners think of the new dashboard? I didn't even know it was out until last night. I think it's an improvement, it's much easier to navigate around and it's not a complete mess like the previous dashboard.

I've had the new dashboard for a little while now (I was part of the Beta test for it). I didn't like it at first, because you couldn't see as many items on screen at the same time. But it's grown on me. I really like it now.

I do loathe the white theme though.

For those of you who played Fallout 3 and New Vegas - IGN posted a screenshot quiz. The goal is to identify F3 vs NV.

I got 20/20 (there's a very obvious, yet subtle difference between both games, that makes this very easy for most screen shots)

I played the game on Saturday. I probably had 16/20...? (I didn't see a display of my results ???) While for most picture I agree, that there was subtle things in them to identify them (e.g. weapons), there was a few where I just didn't see that.

So, Sebastien, how about it? Finished at least one of the endings yet? What did you think?

I realize now I was a bit stupid to attempt Hardcore with a Melee/Unarmed character :slaphead: But I'll manage... I am at the point where I want to get the remaining achievements out of the way and then put the game to rest for a while; at least until the DLC (you are getting it very soon!) is coming to the PS3.

I still haven't seen any of the endings yet  :bag:

But I am at a point where if I complete one of the quest, my ending "branch" will be set. I'm still working on side quests though. Just finished cleansing Vault 22 on my way to Jacobstown.

Have to decide what to do with the data from Vault 22...

As for the result, I was counting on my fingers as I was selecting answers.

Well, it's actually more about the exploration than the actual ending. None of the endings is really as impressive as the one from Fallout 3 (only one short moment in the NCR branch comes close). The one thing I always will wonder is: just how much did I miss? Yesterday I saw a video with scenes from the game and quite a bit seemed very unfamiliar :headscratch: (I have played 100+ hours, not counting the replays for freezes or the different endings. :bag:)

100+ hours??  :o

I'm nowhere near that. I think I haven't even broken the 50 hours mark.

I've seen and done some pretty sweet stuff. But all in side quests. I find the main quest really boring. At least up to where I am at the moment:

So, did you manage to get banned from Casino yet? I did it in a couple hours playing Blackjack. Guess having Luck at 9 helps a bit ;)

You know, there's something to be said about killing the Deathclaw Alpha Male in three shots. That was fun! ;)

I'm also a bit concerned. I think I may have lost ED-E. I sent him back to the suite, and I saw him get vaporized by the Securitrons at the gate to the Strip. I still haven't gone to Lucky 38 to see if he's there. I hope he is. I like ED-E damnit!

I tend to get obsessive with this stuff. That's why I know I better finish quick now...

I had to put up with Luck of only 6 or 7 to try this achievement. Eventually managed, mostly by saving every 2000 dollars won.

I think I may have needed more shots with my sniper build, but I know I don't want to go near this thing with my Melee/Unarmed character

You better reload quick, if you can. A: you saw him get killed! B: Ed-E is prone to get lost anyway, so chances are this is for real.

Nuh-huh! I'm way too far along to go back. If he's gone, he's gone. It's also part of my mentality of whatever happens, happens. So I will not reload for companions getting killed or for accidentally killing a semi-important character with a misplaced grenade.

At least, on my first playthrough. It's a RPG after all. So unless I do something completely stupid and game braking, I will not reload.

I did 2 exceptions to this so far

I see what you mean. I often do that too, but companions are definitely excluded from such rules.

Wow, this thread has been dormant for a while

Well, I have recently been playing Dead Island and thought I mention it here. last year I played some Dead Rising 2 and was quite underwhelmed; I guess the Japanese craziness in that one is not really for me. Dead Island is everything I had hoped what Dead Rising 2 should have been.

You get to kill zombies in a semi-realistic setting. That means, the vacation island provides mainly melee weapons that can be modified at work benches and wear out from use. On the other hand, there are "special" zombies (bosses), as only one type of zombies probably would become boring even quicker. There are slow zombies, as they should be, which are easy to kill one-on-one, but will murder you if in larger groups. There is fast enemies as well, but they have wisely been named Infected.

If you read reviews you may have come across the bottom line: The game does not look particulary beautiful (not that it's exactly ugly) and there are loads of issues with graphics and sometimes gameplay. However, there is something strangely addicting/addctive(?) about venturing out, sneakingaround the enemies and completing the countless side missions. there is an upgrade system to the four different characters as well, which triggered some reviewers to call this Fallout with zomies.

So Sega released the next wave of their arcade titles this week. Sonic Fighters, Virtua Fighter 2 and Deadly Vipers all for a very cheap 400MS (£3) each. Downloaded them all and completed them all today in about ten minutes each. Wow, they are nowhere near as good as I remember. Nostalgia sucks sometimes.

Ah well, downloading episode 3 of The Walking Dead Game now (all 5 episodes are now released).
