Moving right along...

So far today

Beyond Jurassic Park. The 4th disc from the Jurassic park box set. A Series of featurettes from all three movies. I especially enjoyed the interview with Michael Crichton.

They Call Me Mister Tibbs! Sidney Poitier's 2nd movie whee he plays Virgil Tibbs. I had never watched this till today. IMO it is the worst of the three movies. Still enjoyable though.

Currently watching Comin' Round the Mountain (Abbott and Costello).   C'mon... it's Abbott and Costello.  :hysterical:

I've caught up a little bit over the last few days. A couple I had seen before (more than once!) but I just felt the need to laugh; Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles (I love Mel Brooks - what can I say!).

A new one I watched was Ultraviolet and I'm afraid I was a little disappointed. I usually love comic books that are made into films but this one was just so-so. Maybe Milla Jovovich needs to get away from this type of film for a while; it's becoming a bit tiresome.

A movie I would recommend is Seabiscuit. This film is based on the true story of a down and out trainer, a half-blind jockey, and abused undersized horse. They find each other and bring out in one another the heart of a champion. I loved it.

You have to understand, I'm not a hockey fan.... I'm a Canadiens fan. So, if the Canadiens are not playing, then Hockey is phased out of my existence. Sad I know, but what can I say... Watching the Canadiens play is exciting.... Watching other teams feels like a waste of time....  :bag:

Just finished watching O.

I thought it was pretty good. For what it basically Shakespeare in a teen setting, I thought it was efficient and translated well.

5 to go now.

hmm Just finished Jumanji.

I like that movie. The base idea is interesting IMO, and it was rather well executed. Oh and, if you're looking for a filler in the Xmas Marathon, it ends on a Christmas scene ;)

Only 4 to go.

And now, I just realised, it's 1am and I have to leave for work at around 5:30am!!  :o

2 more watched! ;D

Eurotrip and Robot Jox. Two movies I have seen before, and two movies I like. Robot Jox for basically the same reason as Transformers: I love giant robots, of any kind and any shape. As for Eurotrip, I bought it because of Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn on Buffy, if anybody is still wondering), and turns out I like the movie! There's some effective humor in there.

And the big finale tonight: Death Proof, and Planet Terror!

Two left for me as well. Been a heck of a week   :training:

I was going to watch The Yakuza and Donnie Brasco ( I need an A and a B). I have decided to wait on both of these movies. The Yakuza got such hype here I want to watch it when I can watch it, not while I'm working, which I will be doing today. Same thing with Donnie Brasco. I started watching it this morning but stopped after 5 minutes. Al Pacino and Johnny Depp were already great in it. I want to give it my undivided attention.

So this morning I settled for Hudson Hawk (Bruce Willis). It's one of my guilty pleasures movies. I know your not supposed to like it cause it's just so bad but I love it

I need to find a new A and a new B movie to watch today.....  :-\

I've never made it all the way through Hudson Hawk, because of the not so good bits, but I love the start all the same. The bit where they are singing to time the burglary I really like.

I just finished the marathon myself, just in time, like, 10 minutes to midnight or so

It was fun, but also quite hard to me, having not been at home several evenings and then 5 days while traveling

DONE!!!!  :thundergod:

Finished up with a concert DVD. "Paul McCartney: Live at the Cavern Club!". Anyone not familiar with the Cavern Club it is one of the clubs where the Beatles used to play in the real early years, before they released their 1st album.

Great concert. Small Venue. Small stage, which was nice. All of the songs were 1950's rock n roll songs (with the exception of  "I Saw Her Standing There"). Made me want to get up and dance.  As an added benefit it had David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) as one of the guitarists.

Highly recommended to anyone who like 50's rock and roll or  Paul McCartney fans.
