The use of CGI in those examples always impresses me more than all the obvious instances of visual effects (in sci-fi movies and the likes). The cases where you do not notice it that CGI has been used.

Awww...I have a 16 year old Chinese Shar Pei mix and this dog reminds me of Nina when she was a baby. Well, actually, she still snores!

16? Good grief, that's a good age, isn't it, Kathy? A cousin of mine rescues Shar Pei's and finds that they have such inherent breeding problems their life expectancy isn't great. In fact, a friend of mine just lost hers at a little over 7.

My vet told me that Shar Pei's were bred to die. The problem is there were so few left they were inbred and of course that caused all kinds of problems.

Nina is very old but she is not a thoroughbred. Her parents were champions; her mom is an Australian Shepard and her dad a Shar Pei. Her mom jumped the fence separating them and after a "Hi big boy"......puppies!

The owners were devastated until they found out that all of the owners of the adopted puppies LOVED them. Nina is the best dog I ever had. She was completely trained in less than a week and could not be more perfect.

After several years of begging, Nina's parents were bred one last time and I now have Nina's sister, Samantha, another perfect dog. I would have adopted another puppy but, alas, they only had the two litters.

I love all of my other dogs but there is something different and special about the Shar Pei. They seem to be smarter, quicker to learn and "more human" if you know what I mean. I never had to train them, they just figure things out...very cool.

Nina, the 16 year old, is gold. I have to upload pictures of her sister Samantha who looks exactly the same except she is black.
