Looks good, Jon!

I have played Call of Duty: World at War and found that the Pacific side of the war is apparently not very well known to us. From what I can tell (I am not sure Windtalkers would count as an overly accurate retelling) it was a rather vicious war over there. (Not that war isn't visious in any shape or form.)

I might want to reconsider and get Band of Brothers on Blu-ray in the next available sale.

Thin Red Line wasn't bad and Flags of our Fathers is uneven, but affecting. Still haven't watched Letters from Iwo Jima though...

I've been tempted by BoB on BR too.  :-X

Top Gear did a piece with Ken Block, champion rally driver, in the last episode. James May rides shotgun while he takes the car for a spin (several, actually) around his favourite practice area, which happens to be an airport. Top Gear has always excelled in photography and lately seem to be enjoying slow motion capture a lot. This is brilliantly put together and much as I enjoy The Fast and the Furious, I wish it was more like this...

Here's one for Pete and any other Sandra Bullock fans!  She was interviewed by Jonathan Ross a couple of weeks ago, so these aren't hugely insightful, but damn she's gorgeous and seems to be having fun...

Amazon.com currently has the Blu-ray set (according to http://bluray.liesinc.net/ it's region free) for $45.99 and the DVD set for $41.99. That is cheaper as with DeepDiscount's 25% sale!!!

So, if there was ever the time, this is it. (I just order; especially as they have almost all Criterion Blu-ray for $19.99!)
