How much HD-DVD you plan to buy this year?

I got 2 for now and so far there only 4 other that i like to buy

Because I was not a good buyer when I shopped for my TV I ended up with a 42" EDTV Plasma instead of HDTV.  I plan on moving to the bedroom and get myself a 42" HDTV LCD this coming fall.  I obviously don't have a high-def dvd player which I'm probably gonna get with the TV.  Then I'll have to decide on blu-ray or hd-dvd.  I still don't know what I'm gonna do.

Nada. I don't plan on jumping on the HD train. I'm more than happy with my upscaled DVD. And yes, I've seen some very nice videos in HD, and it's just not all it's cracked up to be IMO.

What is the difference in DVD, HD DVD and Blue Ray?

I do not plan to buy any at all. The difference between DVD and HD-DVD(or Blu-ray) doesn't seem to amount to much when all I've got to watch it on, is a PC
that and my wallet is too thin

None. Since I don't have a HD DVD player. But maybe i'm gonna buy PS3 this year, and then I will buy Blue-ray movies. But it's real expencive here, 857 USD. And I am poor

I don't know yet but probably alot as I intend to buy no DVDs anymore at this point.

I wonder if one of the formats is gonna win or if the big winner in the end will not be the new hd dual layer disc that allows both formats on a single disc.

I also don't see that the HD format is that big a deal. I am perfectly happy with upscaled DVD's. Ultraviolet looks near HD quality on my Oppo and SXRD set.

Right now I have a dozen. Would like to add a couple a month but my DVD buying in general has   s l o w e d   to a crawl. Not by choice, just .... circumstances

I've purchased about 30 of them in the last 6 months. I hope to continue doing the same. Ultimately I'd like a dual player because there are Blu-ray titles I want too...

I don't have an HDTV yet (mine is only EDTV) so I didn't buy a HD player.  I'm using my HTPC as a upconverting DVD Player and it does the job me although sometimes I have a bit of a "garage door" effect.
