Alien? Predator? Isn't one stretching the term "animal"?

Hey, Dinosaurs were actual animals! ;)

Since I've never seen neither Alien nor Predator, allow me this dumb question: AFAIK the Alien is an animal, but the Predator? I thought he was some kind of hunter with a spaceship?

Well, I'm going by what I believed was the spirit of the original question, so I would have only considered traditional animals that were previously taken for granted or considered "under control". The pet dog turning nasty, mutant crocs, The Birds, etc. Jurassic Park is valid as the big fellas started out behind fences and being taken for granted. But the Predator as Karsten says is an humanoid at least and always aggressive.

But a bigger issue has come up. You haven't seen Alien? Truly, that surprises me, considering your interest in over large space craft!
