I'd say no. Sorry, Kathy. Fantasy creatures may or may not be given the power of speech or communication, but it is a contrivance by the author all the same. In other words, the communication is two-way and accepted as normal within the logic of that particular fantasy... In the spirit of Rick's original suggestion, I think it should only be creatures that we know to be real, even if they are presented in a fantasy, or even animated, world. And before you ask, Kathy, I'm afraid dragons aren't real, regardless of what you saw that strange night in '73.
But...but...but...I'm a "star". I thought "stars" always get their own way.
That's extremely unfair to dragons.
