Oh well, if you're going to be like that...

1. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (frequently involves the viewer, right to the end: "You're still here? Go home.")
2. Moonlighting (Bruce Willis often addresses the audience)
3. Alfie (Both Michael Caine and Jude Low versions)
4. Trading Places - Eddie Murphy giving the knowing look straight to camera
5. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - Characters look to the audience as if to say "We do not believe you are watching this movie"
6. Wayne's World - Wayne and Garth talk regularly to the audience
7. Austin Powers - there's scenes in all three movies
8. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - The monk speaks directly to the audience at the end of the movie
9. John Belushi - Animal House - When he's being a peeping Tom he looks at the camera and wiggles his eyebrows
10. Coming To America - Eddie Murphy & Eriq La Salle
11. The Mask - Jim Carrey
12. Marie Antoinette - Look straight to camera, at the very beginning of the movie
13. My Name is Earl - Catalina  Drooling ! !, supposedly talking to another character, has spoken to the audience a couple of times in Spanish.
14. Bugs Bunny - Pick a cartoon, he probably broke the 4th wall  Laugh
15. Oliver Hardy - pick a film! He looked at the audience in every one...

 ;D

Well done everybody! Someone else can suggest one now...

You came up with the last one najers. So it's your board.

But I've done the last two! Surely someone has an idea for a different one?  :surrender:

Interesting question. Are mystical creatures animals? What about vampires? Werewolves?

I'd say no. Sorry, Kathy.  :P

Fantasy creatures may or may not be given the power of speech or communication, but it is a contrivance by the author all the same. In other words, the communication is two-way and accepted as normal within the logic of that particular fantasy... ???  :weirdo: In the spirit of Rick's original suggestion, I think it should only be creatures that we know to be real, even if they are presented in a fantasy, or even animated, world.

And before you ask, Kathy, I'm afraid dragons aren't real, regardless of what you saw that strange night in '73.  :tease:
