3.X question
« on: August 26, 2007, 10:01:29 AM »
Not had to do this since I've had 3.0 and it's a long time since I've had to do it at all.

Yesterday I bought a French film called "36"(EAN 5023965362322) I went to add it but the EAN was not recognized(and no films with this title with UK as a locality), so AHA thinks I and I add another version as well so that I can copy the cast/crew details and a couple of other things, but then I realise I don't know how to.

So anyone got any suggestions?

Cast/Crew is copied by opening the Cast resp. Crew section of the Edit window, right-clicking on the Cast list on the right (what represents the credits) and select "Copy", then doing the same in teh target profile and select Paste.

Other stuff has to be copied "manually".

Of course, in your case, as you using the other profile as a base only, you could also simply change UPC and Locality of the downloaded profile, then no copying is required, only editing. IN that case, make sure to remember to adjust ALL details of the new profile according your disc (pay particular attention to the SRP).

Thereès no need to create a profile and manually copy things.  The real title of this movie is "36 Quai des orfèvres".  ITès already in the database in a few localitiesd, add that most closely matches yours to your collection and then change the UPC/EAN.

Where is the option to change EAN/locality?

They're in the top menus

DVD->Change Locality
DVD->Change UPC
