It is.  There have been a lot of stories about it..and even the cast is talking about the show ending. 

Even though I haven't seen all the seasons, I do know the basics of what has been going on.

I have the first five seasons. This is 7th now, is it?

I quite enjoyed the fifth season, but worried that it would get too repetitive, with the show running out of steam...(?). Is it still worth it? Is it still as strong as it was in season 4 or 5?

EDIT:

Ok, I quickly checked, it's season 8 that is starting now. Even more so my question: are at least seasons 6 and 7 still worth it, that I should get them...?

I've just started watching season 6 on BD. Still not sure if I'll actually buy season 7 (or later).

I still enjoyed them all. Some seasons more then others just like any other show. But think they are all worth watching. I enjoyed last night's episode.
