Kathy,

The reason you're not getting the image is that the website you're calling the image from does not allow image-linking, otherwise known as 'leeching'.

Here's a suggestion (it's how I do it)

1. Go to the website where the image you want is located
2. Right-click on it and select 'View Image'
3. Copy the whole address where the image is located.
3. Open a second tab or window in your browser and go to an image hosting site. I use http://www.imageshack.us
4. At imageshack, you can host your image for free. It's better to signup for an account; that way you can retrieve all the images you want for future reference.
5. Once you have signed-up with them, choose the option Upload and select 'url', this is the destination.
6. Paste the url address you copied. If this is an image that may be to big for message boards, select the option 'Resize' and '640x480'. Not too big, not too small.
7. Click the button 'Host it'
8. Now you have the image in your own account. You will see imageshack gives you different options to retrieve it, copy the url address where it says "direct link to image'
9. Come back here, paste the url address of the image in your post, select the whole address and then click the button 'Insert image'
10. Now you will have your image displayed in your own post. Hope this helps.

Kathy,

The reason you're not getting the image is that the website you're calling the image from does not allow image-linking, otherwise known as 'leeching'.

The whole site doesn't seem to work, I get access denied even trying moviesmedia.ing.com

That's probably because moviesmedia.ign.com must be configured as a private sub-address, and they just host their own images there. www.ign.com works fine with me.

I can't play screencap games anymore :weep: but I hope others play because I like the game.

Why? Give the answer, try posting the picture (or just copy paste the link) and I'm sure a kind soul will help you out and post the picture for you.

You can do it!!  ;D

Nope, not Blue Velvet.

Ok, that screencap was a little obscure. How's this, from the same film?

In the Mood for Love? I have it, but haven't watched it yet.

Not Audition, not In the Mood for Love.

Hint: Actually, it's not Asian film at all, it's French. The actress is British.

No, it's not Le Pact des Loupes...

I believe it is Indochine...

Not Le Pacte des Loups, not Indochine.

More hints:
It was based on a wonderful book by Marguerite Duras, and reportedly, she hated every second of the adaptation.

Kathy, pm me the link to your image, I'll put it in your post.  Then you can modify it to see how it's done.

It doesn't work Kathy.  I think you keep ending up on sites that can't be accessed directly.  This link that you gave me doesn't work at all.

Actually, http://image.guardian.co.uk doesn't work either.

Kathy, here's a suggestion for finding screencaps: Just go to Google Images and make a search on the film you want, for example: "Kill Bill" + movie.

This way, you won't be restricted to those pesky websites.  :)

Let's try something different. Kathy, find the picture you want to post. Once you see it on your screen, right-click on the picture and select "Save Image As...". It will ask you to save the image somewhere on your own computer.

Then, go to the site http://www.imageshack.us/

There's a browse button there, click it, then find the picture you just saved, and click OPEN

Leave the other options to their default, and click the HOST IT button.

Wait a little while, depending on the picture size. The next page should have many different links with your image in the middle (much smaller version).

The link you are interested in is the one next to "Thumbnail for forums (1)" (that's the one that works here). Click in the box next to it and it should select the whole link automatically, hit CTRL-C, come back here to your post, hit CTRL-V, and you should have a nice clickable thumbnail of your image in your post.
