I built myself a pretty high end PC early 2009, that Christmas I got Windows 7. At first I was reluctant to install it as I had been using XP for well over five years.
When I did it was like getting a whole new computer, the installation took less than an hour and I didn't have to back up any of my own personal data. It's fantastic!
