18. Charade
Can the Blur continue to hide his identity? Not if tycoon MAXWELL LORD can use his tech know-how to create a composite memory from citizens – notably Lois! – who've had brushes with him. The results lead to a reckoning between Lois, Clark...and the Blur.

My Thoughts:
I could have sworn this was the episode that Lois finds out about Clark. But it seems I was wrong. Didn't she find out in Season 9? Or was that not until Season 10? I thought it was season 9 but now I am second guessing myself. Either way... I enjoyed the episode... including the image of Lois in the playmate bunny costume (see post above this one).

Yeah, Lois Lane and her costumes. :D

And let's face it, Erica Durance is not the first either.

Dressing up like the long lost daughter of Big Bird must be an integral part of being an investigative reporter.  ;D

It is when you go undercover in a night club. ;) This is from Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 6: I've Got a Crush on You

When Erica Durance goes undercover in a night club, it looks like this:

Season 9: Disc 6

19. Sacrifice
Chloe and Tess are trapped inside WATCHTOWER and running out of oxygen after CHECKMATE's breach of the computers send the tower into lockdown. Also: Zod rallies his followers against humanity and Clark witnesses one of the great powers the followers now share.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I enjoyed. Though in this case I liked the storyline involving Chloe and Tess more then I did the advancements of the Kandorian storyline.

My Rating:

20. Hostage
Romance is in the air as MARTHA KENT makes a surprise return to the Kent farm...with suitor Perry White. Danger is everywhere, too, as the hunt for the BOOK OF RAO escalates. Could the book's whereabouts be linked to the identity of the mysterious RED QUEEN?

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. It was cool to see Annette O'Toole on the show again. Watching this episode again... I must say... I was just a little surprised. She is starting to really show her age some now. I am not saying she looks bad... but just a heck of a difference from when she was a regular cast member.

My Rating:

21. Salvation
Caught up in war: Zod and Clark Kent. Caught in the middle: Lois, Chloe, Oliver, Tess, Kandorians, Justice Society of America – and mysterious, unexpected someones. In the balance: Earth's future... and the fate of the man who will become Superman.

My Thoughts:
A very good season finale. The only thing that would have made it any better at all is if I didn't remember how it ended. Got to see some of the other heroes in this one... but only on monitors as they checked in with the Watchtower. A couple of which that we haven't seen at all this season like Cyborg and the Black Canary. It would have been better to see them in action... but it was still cool to see them.

My Rating:

Disc Six Thoughts:
This finishes off the ninth season set. I really enjoyed watching this season again. I just wish now that I had the 10th (final) season to watch again. The extras on this disc includes two featurettes and a brief deleted scene for the season finale episode.

:yahoo: I can bring this thread back to life now that I have season 10 (The Final Season) to watch and review!  :yahoo:

I will probably start this later on today sometime after taking Brittany to her grandmother's house. She will be spending the next week with her grandmother. :)

Season 10: Disc 1

1. Lazarus
The words of JOR-El...the stunning secret of CADMUS LABS... a visit from JONATHAN KENT — all portend an imminent ordeal for the man who will become SUPERMAN. But CLARK KENT must also come to grips with the immediacy of the moment: LOIS LANE faces fiery doom!

My Thoughts:
This is an episode I enjoyed every second of! A very strong episode to start the final season! The entire episode kept me glued to the set. From this episode alone I feel like I will be really enjoying myself for the next few days! In this episode we have the return of Lex... A scene with Jonathan Kent!?! And Lois leaving for Africa.

My Rating:

2. Shield
Heroes...or vigilaties? KAT GRANT, Clark Kent's new deskmate while Lois Lane is away, is among those who have negative opinions about secret super heroes. The Blur will rescue her just the same — a rescue that gives SUICIDE SQUAD a way of tracking the hero.

My Thoughts:
In this episode we meet Kat Grant... I know this character from Lois & Clark. I don't know if she was in the comics or not. But she is complete different in this show then she was in Lois & Clark. Unfortunately I haven't cared for the character in either series. But the episode itself I enjoyed quite a bit. We get a little hint in this one of the upcoming Isis episode.

My Rating:

3. Supergirl
A radio shock jock channels a mysterious dark force. KARA returns to take on a task that Jor-El believes Kal-El will never be able to handle. OLIVER QUEEN, refusing to hide in the shadows any longer, makes a bold announcement to the world.

My Thoughts:
Kara is back! Another very good episode. It brings the season long arc along very nicely... this episode is the first time we hear about the Darkness. It is also yet another episode where we get to see Lois in a costume. This time as a Dominatrix. Lots of fun here!

My Rating:

4. Homecoming
Blast from the past: Clark recalls old times when he and Lois attend their five-year reunion at SMALLVILLE HIGH. Blast from the future: a reformed BRAINIAC 5 time-travels from the 31st centuryto show Clark the heroic tomorrow he can embrace.

My Thoughts:
This is an excellent episode! Not only did it have clips from episodes through-out the series... starting with Season 1... but it also goes into the future. My favorite character on the series... Chloe Sullivan... is barely in this season (even though she is credited in every episode!). And I am already missing seeing her. But this is one of the season's... heck, one of the series must see episodes!

My Rating:

Disc One Thoughts:
A great start to the final season! Already getting hooked on rewatching this season. There really wasn't an episode I didn't like on this disc. If I had to pick a favorite episode of this disc I would have to go with Homecoming. This disc has a couple deleted scenes which really don't amount to much and then a commentary track on the first episode, Lazarus. Which I am listening to now as I type this.

Season 10: Disc 2

5. Isis
After a mystically powered relic transforms Lois into the mighty goddess ISIS, rookie reporter Cat Grant sets out to reveal that superpowered Lois is...The Blur. Later, Clark makes a confession about his alter ego to Lois. Her response: "What took you so long?"

My Thoughts:
It could be because I only know Isis from the '70s kid show The Secrets of Isis... but the way they portrayed Isis on Smallville was a real disappointment to me. But looking past that (which was a bit difficult for me) it was still a good episode. But the best part about the entire episode was the ending... where Clark finally tells Lois his secret. For some reason I was thinking that happened towards the end of season ... turns out it didn't happen till this episode. Because of the whole Isis thing... I had a hard time deciding how to rate this episode. I kept going back and forth between and ... as it seems to fall between the two.

My Rating:

6. Harvest
A meteor-rock religious cult holds two captives: one to sacrifice...the other too weakened by KRYPTONITE to do anything about it. TESS MERCER, meanwhile, may be captive to her good intentions, because Alexander is rapidly growing older, more mysterious and more powerful.

My Thoughts:
This episode I enjoyed quite a bit. I liked the whole cult in the middle of nowhere thing. The advances in the Alexander storyline was interesting as well.

My Rating:

7. Ambush
Thanksgiving Day is such a relaxed, convivial time of family and fellowship...not. Lois' father drops in unexpectedly for the holiday and clashes with Clark over the issue of super hero vigilantes. Plus: Tess proves to be an able overseer of WATCHTOWER.

My Thoughts:
A pretty good Thanksgiving episode. Though it didn't keep me as interested as most the episodes do. Much more story driven then action based.

My Rating:

8. Abandoned
Connections to the past explain much about the present...and could shape the future. Tess meets the mysterious GRANNY GOODNESS. Lois receives a video tape made by her mother before she died. Clark has an inspiring encounter with Jor-El and LARA.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this one quite a bit. This is the episode that Tess finds out who her real father is. And we get a guest appearance of Teri Hatcher, who played Lois Lane in Lois & Clark, as Lois' mother. I am not too familiar with the comics... but I am taking it that Granny Goodness is a character from the comics.

My Rating:

Disc Two Thoughts:
While I enjoyed the episodes on this disc... they weren't as good as the ones on the first disc. But what it did do is lay down a lot of ground work for the season long arc. The only extra on this disc is a single deleted scene for the episode Abandoned. While it didn't mean much to the main storyline... it was a decent scene I would have liked to seen remain. But I imagine it was removed due to time constraints.

Season 10: Disc 3

9. Patriot
Oliver registers under the Vigilante Registration Act, and his fears are realized: the act aims to identify, detain and destroy super heroes. But help is on the way for incarcerated Oliver via AQUAMAN, his wife MERA and Clark...with a big assist from Lois Lane.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It was good to see Aquaman showing up in the series again. And we even get to meet his wife Mera... was she in the comics btw... or only here in Smallville? But they need to bring Chloe back already!

My Rating:

10. Luthor
He's not Clark Kent. He's Clark Luthor – and he's a killer! While Clark Kent copes with his accidental arrival in a topsy-turvy parallel universe, Clark Luthor, a murderous and powerful look-alike from that world, takes his place in METROPOLIS.

My Thoughts:
Just like on the original run of the season... watching these episodes now I am not sure how I feel about the whole alternate reality storyline. Part of me is enjoying it to be able to see Lionel Luthor again. But another part of me thinks it is pushing it a bit. But if nothing else the storyline is interesting and entertaining.

My Rating:

11. Icarus
GREEN ARROW intervenes in a mugging – and anti-super hero bystanders attack him. In the aftermath, the heroes go underground. Yet there's still work to do. Lois is held by hero-hater SLADE, and HAWKMAN joins Clark in the attempt to rescue her.

My Thoughts:
Great episode! I enjoyed every second of this one. Even got to see a (very short) scene with Chloe in this one. I will be glad when she comes back on a more regular basis. I was thinking about taking a little break from this set after this episode. But with such a good cliffhanger there just no way. I will be starting disc 4 once I post this.

My Rating:

Disc Three Thoughts:
Really good disc full of episodes this time. There is only 3 episodes on this disc and no extras. Seems like a bit of a waste of space. They could have fit some decent extras on this disc if they wanted to.

Season 10: Disc 4

12. Collateral
After the VRA traps them in a virtual reality so that their real-world powers can be destroyed, Clark and the other heroes must rely on the help of the person they trust the least: Chloe, who has earlier abandoned them without explanation.

My Thoughts:
Another great episode! And Chloe finally back for a complete episode! After being gone for most of the first half of the season it was good to see her back again. This is a pure action-packed episode that every moment is a lot of fun to watch!

My Rating:

13. Beacon
Martha is targeted by an assassin at an anti-VRA rally, dopplegänger Lionel claims LUTHORCORP, and Alexander resurfaces with a vengeance, but videos supporting The Blur gives a discouraged Clark reason to hope..

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was good to see Martha Kent again in this one. And the episode advances the season long storyline nicely.

My Rating:

14. Masquerade
Clark and Oliver rescue Chloe from DESAAD and the darkness. But the victory comes with a price for Oliver. Clark comes to realize that his true alter-ego isn't The Blur – it's Clark Kent!

My Thoughts:
Another big Chloe/Oliver episode. Great advancement in the season long arc. And even has a little mini-surprise ending. Definitely a good episode.

My Rating:

15. Fortune
They'll never forget the night they can't remember. After Lois and Clark's bachelorette/bachelor parties, everyone woozily scrambles to uncover what happen – and why Clark woke up with a lemur on his chest and Lois can't find her engagement ring.

My Thoughts:
Well this episode seems to be a little more then a Hangover rip-off. But at least  we get the fun of seeing Lois in another costume. This time as a showgirl in a casino. And for a good laugh we get Oliver dressed as a showgirl as well. Despite it being a Hangover rip-off... it is a good episode done for no other reason then to have fun.

My Rating:

Disc Four Thoughts:
This turned out to be a good disc. Chloe comes back for all the episodes on this disc. Though it does seem like she is about to leave again. All the episodes are very entertaining. The only episodes on this disc is a deleted scene for Beacon which consists of clips from several scenes. Not much to worry about missing other then a scene involving Clark and Lionel. Then there is a music video which surprise... surprise... I didn't watch.

Season 10: Disc 5

16. Scion
Clark learns that clone Conner (aka Alexander) has his DNA and begins to mentor him. But will his lessons of might and right override the youth's darker side? Tess and Lois uncover the flaw in Lionel 2.0's cover-up.

My Thoughts:
A good episode that moves the season long arc along nicely. We get lots of Lionel Luthor in this one. Not to mention a little flash-back reminder what it was like when Clark was still learning his powers.

My Rating:

17. Kent
Give me back my man! Lois turns to Emil for help after Clark Luthor (CL) traps Clark Kent (CK) in an alt reality. There, CK faces an angry and violent Jonathan Kent. Meanwhile, CL has a Luthor-to-Luthor talk with Tess, trying to intimidate her into allegiance.

My Thoughts:
Another alternate reality episode. Not a bad episode... and it was good to get to see Jonathan Kent again. But for some reason I just don't care too much for the alternate reality storyline all that much.

My Rating:

18. Booster
Pompous BOOSTER GOLD arrives from the future, performing bogus heroics and launching media events to win praise as the greatest super hero. His actions inadvertently bring the ravaging BLUE BEETLE to life – and only an act of genuine greatness can stop him!

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I am glad they got to fit in a couple more DC heroes before the end of the series. Which I am sure was the only reason for this episode. Unfortunately I really wasn't familiar with neither Booster Gold or The Blue Beetle so I can't say how good of a job they did with them. All I can say is I enjoyed the episode.

My Rating:

19. Dominion
Who opened the portal to the Phantom Zone? Clark Kent and Oliver Queen enter the realm to investigate and they are forced to battle each other in a sweltering arena of gladiatorial combat overlorded by wrathful ZOD.

My Thoughts:
A good episode with a lot of action in it. This episode gives us a final look at The Phantom Zone. And one last episode with Zod. I think it was well done. The old style arena fighting was a lot of fun to watch... with plenty of blood to keep this horror hound happy.

My Rating:

Disc Five Thoughts:
Another disc down. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I am not sure which episode was my favorite on this disc... but I guess I would say it would be a toss up between Booster and Dominion.  I enjoyed them both... but for different reasons. One for the action and one for the fun. The only extras on this disc is a couple deleted scenes... one of which I wish made it into the episode. And a commentary track on Dominion which I decided to save for the next time I watch it.

Season 10: Disc 6

20. Prophecy
How the other half lives. Jor-El gives Lois possession of Clark's powers for a few hours. The hours may prove costly: she falls under the mind control of TOYMAN and is sent on a mission to kill The Blur.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. We even get a brief look at Smallville's version of the Legion of Doom. It was fun seeing Lois with Clark's powers. We also find out what becomes of Kara.

My Rating:

21.-22. Finale
Will Lois walk down the aisle? Will Clark stand up to DARKSEID? Meanwhile, APOKOLIPS roars Earthward. And a familiar Luthor resurfaces. But a hero in a soon-familiar outfit of red, blue and yellow also emerges. Look up. And long may the legend be told.

My Thoughts:
I was waiting to see this one again! I am so glad that this series got a proper ending. After being on the air for 10 years it deserved one. And I enjoyed every minute of it! Though I would have liked to seen a better view of him in the Superman outfit then what they gave us. Everything was either from such a distance or up so close that you really could get that good of a view of it.

My Rating:

Disc Six Thoughts:
Well this is it. This series ran for a long 10 years... with lots of ups and downs. But when it came down to it... it really ended with a bang. I enjoyed every minute of this final disc. It is easy for me to say that the series finale is my favorite episode on this disc. How couldn't it be? The only extras on this disc is 2 featurettes which I haven't watched yet.

Well... that's it. I started this thread almost 4½ years ago... and it is finally over. There will be no more Smallville. Part of me is sad about this... but a much bigger part of me knows that after 10 years it was time for it to end. Some would even say it lasted longer then it had any right to. And I can see that point as I feel the same way at times. But then at the same time... I look back at the past 10 seasons... and while there was some good and there was some bad... I really don't think I would have wanted to go without any of it.

I had a great time watching all the seasons. And I can definitely see myself watching the entire series again.

Now the question is.... what to watch next?
