The Coen's have always had a limited audience. Especially on here.

They have an audience with me!  I love their work.  Even the lesser films.

Well, you could always post some reviews and not leave the burden of defending them to Jon alone. :P

Sounds like there is more love than I thought. Perhaps we should pick a Coen for the analysis that Emma is trying to wake up?

I own Blood Simpe and thought it was great in its simplicity. The plot twist(s) were somewhat predictable for today's audiences but probably still fresh at the time fo release.

I like Fargo, probably a lot. Especially Frances McDormand is hilarious. No Country for Old Men is terrific, with Javier Bardem being an excellently menacing villain.

I just watched The Big Lebowski for the first time last week and had a lot of fun with it. I wish John Turtusso's character would have been used more, but having John Goodman was just as exciting.

The Hudsucker Proxy did nothing for me (everything looked so fake) and I have never seen Miller's Crossing or Barton Fink. I saw Raising Arizona once; it's wacky and wild and shows promise.

Yes, I am forgetting some/many, but this is just what pops into my head.

I saw True Grit on Christmas Eve.  I did get a review posted on Epinions...and I do intend to post about it here.  I'm just behind in that.

I will say first that I haven't liked a lot of westerns...though I guess I really haven't watched many in years.

I loved it.  It is one of the best movies I've seen this year.
