End of the world
« on: September 10, 2008, 11:59:13 PM »
Has anyonone felt the end of the world today with the big experience in Europe ?  I wish someone had told me it was all ending today......I would have shaved.

Haven't felt or heard anything yet so I guess the big black hole hasn't expanded all the way to Montreal yet !

Not yet, but the day is not over... It's the end of the world and I don't feel like anything different, not even starting a drug and drunk party (maybe I'm too old for that ). But I'll wait for 2012 for another try, maybe this time they will have the good year.

Remember the old documentary about Nostradamus with Orson Welles ? The end of the world as we know it was suppose to happen in 1999, maybe we are all dead and nobody knows

But it did end in 1999.  Don't you remember the big explosion that made the Moon leave orbit and send Captain Koenig and everyone on the Moon across the universe ?

That has to have ended the world......for sure......definitely......

Fascinating subject. Check out www.bbc.co.uk (I can't be bothered to link. Deal. :tease:) because they have loads of information on a miniwebsite, plus interviews with Stephen Hawking. He has a great sense of humour, so I enjoy listening to him because he makes me feel clever!  :bag:

Thing is, I reckon science has underestimated Mother Nature...

Quote
"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another which states that this has already happened."
- Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

This also seems apt!

Quote
"In the beginning, there was nothing, which exploded."
- Terry Pratchett, Lords and Ladies
