Babylon 5: The lost tales

What is this? ??? Is it something never shown before?

I've got the Babylon 5 - Complete universe (40-disc Box) and don't want to spend money on something that I've already got.

Any info is appreciated!

TLT - The Lost Tales

It's a project of JMS' and a Direct-to-DVD production. It contains two short stories, both happening after B5 season 5 and before Sheridan's death in 2281.

The length is 69 minutes.

If you have this:
The Gathering
Babylon 5 season 1 - 5
In the Beginning
Thirdspace
A Call to Arms
The River of Souls
Crusade
Legend of the Rangers

Then you don't have TLT.

I don't know if it is worth it, I own it, but have't watched it yet.

If TLT is successful (in terms of money) then there will be additional TLT stories.

Why you!!  >:(

You've both just cost me a WHOLE lot of money! I have the whole bloody thing coming my way (as far as I can tell):
- Babylon 5: The Complete First Five Seasons (wasn't there only 5 seasons anyway?  :stars:)
- Babylon 5: The Movie Collection
- Crusade: The Complete Series
- Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers
- Babylon 5: The Lost Tales

;D

 :hysterical:

Of course, the tricky part is to watch all if that following the story time line. Maybe DJ Doena's listing is in correct time line sequence, that is if you like to watch them in sequence. I wish I had considered it before I started with season 1 :-[

DJ Doena's listing is almost the sequence I would recommend to watch. Only one switch:
The Gathering
Babylon 5 season 1 - 5
In the Beginning
Thirdspace
The River of Souls
A Call to Arms
Crusade
Legend of the Rangers

"The Gathering" is the pilot to the series. "A Call to Arms" is the quasi pilot to Crusade.

I've actually already seen The Gathering and In The Beginning. I bought the dual feature DVD back when I first started to consider buying the Babylon 5 seasons as a teaser to know whether I would like it or not. I loved the movies, but somehow never got around to buy the sets... until today!  ;D

And I've watched them so long ago, I don't remember anything, so it shouldn't spoil the series run either ;)

Thanks Tom for confirming the view order.

Unfortunately you've already seen "In the Beginning". ITB spoilers some of the events to be unfold throughout the seasons.

Yeah, but like I said, it's been so long since I watched it, I don't think I remember any of it.

The I'd advise you to watch it only after the 4th season again.

It seems I'm late to the party.  I thought The Lost Tales had some promise, but it was very obviously low budget.  Hopefully it sells well enough for more in the future, and hopefully with a better budget.  The first tale I didn't care much for, but the second was better.  I should revisit it soon.  Now that I know what to expect, I might appreciate it a little more.

Still, Babylon 5 is my all time favorite series, so I was quite eager for anything they were offering and will continue to pick up anything they put out.
