Mathias do you mind if I put your Romedo & Juliet review on the front page ?  I want to start having more content from the members there and I think having a "Featured Review" once a month would be great.  This comparison that you did between two versions of R & J is quite good and I'd like to use it as the first one.

That's a good one to start with as well because both could be described as "old". Ok, twelve years isn't that long, but it still isn't current. People might be attracted to the fact the site is used by people with a less predictable approach to movies.

By the same theory, I dare you to put a couple of Jimmy's up there!

Nothing at all. His reviews are brilliant, important for championing little known films, and he's very knowledgeable about the people involved. If I had the choice, I'd force people to read them. Even the Uwe Boll ones... ;) I should say right now to Jimmy, I'm very sorry for that comment as I would hate to imply that his reviews are unsuitable. I should have emphasised I meant his erotica reviews.

Highlight one of those to attract visitors and assumptions may be made by the ignorant and they won't click further. I only say so because of myself; if I'd wandered onto this site from a routine Google search and saw erotica reviews highlighted, I may have assumed that's only what the site dealt with. I'd be wrong and would miss out on his commentary.

You should put something on the front page for him in a general sense. Like a news feed or something which would imply from the start why he makes the effort and why people should make the effort to read them.

Jon I knew what you meant, I was only picking on you a little.  Your comment makes sense however, I have nothing against adult movies  and having them included in our reviews is not only acceptable but also desirable as I wish the site to have something for all dvd collectors regardless of what genre they prefer.

However I didn't think that having erotica on the first page could lead newcomers (please notice the correct spelling of the word  :hysterical:) to think that it's an adult oriented web site.

My reviews are full of grammaticals error  :-[ They are ok for a thread in the forum, but certainly not for the front page. Not that I'm not happy that they are appreciated, but my writting style and grammar aren't a good visit card (not sure of the expression) for the website. If my writting improve or if I write a good analyse text I will be proud to feature in the home page.

There are quite a few sites and publications that specialise in what you might call fringe titles in any genre and I wouldn't want them to think we were one of them. It's important to put across how things get discussed and put into context. Such as comparing two versions of the same film. And that brings me to...

Please don't take this the wrong way, Jimmy, but... rubbish. In fact, no, I take it back... bloody rubbish! :tease:

As I've been saying, what you say and why you say it is important, not how. So your writing/grammar is not very good? Welcome to the Internet! I'm honestly concerned that the benefits of the Internet will eventually be undone by a lazy generation of predominantly English users who can't write, speak or spell properly in their own language. You set an example by putting in so much effort and the proof is that I never have trouble understanding you. I've had emails from friends that I couldn't decipher and I've had to ring them to ask what they were going on about!

No, I don't mind (I feel rather flattered) - although I have similar concerns regarding my writing style as Jimmy has.
