Bron/Broen (The Bridge)

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I have been recording season 2 of "Bron" (actual onscreen title is "Bron | Broen", the Swedish and Danish titles respectively). Yesterday I had a "Bron" marathon, watching all 10 episodes back to back. I hadn't actually planned it, but once I started watching it I just couldn't stop.
I'm usually not
that
sold on Swedish crime shows, so I guess I have to 'blame' the Danish efforts for making this so irresistible. Or whatever. Anyway, if you can get the original I hope you watch it. If not, I can only hope that the US and UK remakes manage to be as good.
It doesn't look like there will be a season 3 because

one of the two main characters ends up arrested for murder

Well, i havent seen the season 2 yet. But the season 2 will be out this Wednesday here in Norway on dvd\blu so i will pick it up then. But i've heard alot about the ending of season 2. Mixed reactions! But its offical (If the SVT\DR) or who's behind it say yes, there will be a season 3 in 2015! The people behind the show and the actors from the show have allready said yes for a new season. And the numbers are great. So it does seems like there will be a season 3! But not until 2015 tho :\

Interesting! I wonder if they will continue the thread from season 2. There was still at least one (unknown) bad guy left at the conclusion. The ending of S2 was quite grim, I think. Darker than I had expected.

Thats what i've heard too about the ending. An ending with more questions then answers. And i have some friends that have seen the season 2 when it aired on Norwegian NRK, and they say that season 2 was far better then season 1. Whats your thougts on that?

Not sure that I'd say
far
better, but at least as good as S1. Prepare to get stuck to the telly when you put it on...

So i've just started with Season 2! But i just have to say one quick thing about the song in the intro and the beginnings. Is it just me, or isnt that song just wonderful? Really like that song!
And it kinda fits with the whole series too.

It's just you.
No, it sets a very nice mood. But I found the lyrics difficult to hear in parts.

But lets be fair, i dont think the ending was that bad as "everyone" is saying. Real interesting. Very in character from Saga. And you can see how much it pains her.
And we know there will be a season 3 in 2015. Wich makes it all that more interesting.
You Swedes and Danish people sure make great tv!

Yeah, it was great. But season 3 without Martin Rodhe? I don't see how he could be part of it unless the pull a "Dallas" on us ("it was all a dream"). I sure hate to wait that long to find out...

Well, Both Kim Bodnia (Martin Rodhe) and Sofia Helin (Saga) have said yes to starr in season 3. Wich makes it so interesting. But we dont know yet if he's guilty or not.
I guess we'll just have to see and wait :/
