The Adjustment Bureau
« on: May 08, 2011, 04:43:34 AM »
I managed to see The Adjustment Bureau while it was still in the theater here.

The movie is based on a short story by Phillip K. Dick.  I haven't read the story, so I have no clue how much the story has been changed for the movie.  The plot is interesting and makes an entertaining movie, though I do think certain things are more predictable.  There are science fiction elements to the movie, though not typical ones.  The movie has a more normal feel than many of the science fiction movies I've seen.  The plot progresses in a way that explains things fairly well.  There is a little bit of action in a few scenes without the movie being action packed.  There are few chases that are more interesting because they are done in a more unique way.

A relationship develops in a different sort of way between David and Elise.  Some of what happens between them is kind of sweet.  Something else that happens isn't as nice.  The characters are interesting, though they could be developed a bit better.

I did enjoy the movie overall and think it is worth seeing.

I did post a review on Epinions after seeing the movie in the theater.
