Topic: What TV Series did you discover on DVD?

I think that is awesome! My mother is 75 years old now... and she loves Buffy. The strange thing is though... even though she has tried... she can't get into Angel.

Oh... and she refuses to watch Bones... she says she still sees him as Angel and spends the entire episode wondering why he is in the sunlight and not bursting into flames  She says it just don't feel right to her. 

I love Bones. Haven't had that problem. But I can't take Gellar seriously in any of her scream queen roles, like Grudge or Scream 2. She's getting chased by something demonic? So what? Turn around and kick it in the head! Stop crying and punch it! Oh. You're dead? How did that happen?

To say it's a "teen" show often sneered at by people who thinking jumping to conclusions is a sport, Buffy seems very popular amongst the middle-aged too. My Mum and Dad loved it.

Some of the books there sound interesting, but I wouldn't pay more than 30 dollars for them. I've read Slayer Slang which was a very interesting read albeit a bit short (the essay part is about 125 pages, the rest is a Buffy dictionary).

I wasn't suggesting to buy the books, I don't have bought any. All issues of Slayage (26 at the moment) and selected other essays and conference papers are available online for free. I was a frequent reader in the early years (2001ff), but have lost interest a bit since then.

Oooh, interesting. I didn't really noticed that the 26 links lead to articles. From a design and eye-catching POV the page isn't very good. I'll page through the essays tomorrow and probably read some of them.

- Everybody Loves Raymond *haven`t watched season 7th, 8th and finale (My fav TV Series of all time)
- Monk (His assistant is pretty)
- Scrubs (only Zach Braff and Donald Faison duet that makes me watch this series)
- Nip Tuck (oh gross, those two only good at lipo and boob jobs, beside sex lol)
- 24 (the tense is great)
- Smallville (at first i enjoy watching Kristin Kreuk, but when Erica Durance show up, sayonara Kristin ^^)

- Boston Legal (Alan Shore deserve an Oscar !!)

- Numbers (i didn`t know that equation can solve crimes)
