In response to increasing movie piracy in Canada, Warner Bros. announced they will no longer hold promotional screening of movies in this country.

Like that's gonna help. It'll only take a few days/weeks more, thats all.

Or pirates will start pirating from other countries. I know Montreal is known as a hotbed for piracy, but stopping promotional screening will not change much of anything, IMO.

It probably won't slow down piracy but at least movies won't be available on internet before they hit the screens anymore ;)

But I liked that! You know, flickering screen, washed out colors, people getting up to get a popcorn... all on a DVD!  ;)

In case some people are wondering, I HATE those pirated crap they try to pass as a movie.

If Warner starts down that road, after a while they won't have promotional screenings anywhere.
