I guess I should investigate some of these. Any suggestions where I should start?

Well, this is the first of your themes where I have't seen any of the movies.

Well, the interest of those lists is to give ideas to other users.

About suggestions, it is always a little difficult since movies' preferences may be very different. My lists are in my own preference order, so I would first recommend "Möbius", if you like realistic spy movies (with much less action than a 007 movie... )

"La Belle Saison" is about lesbian love in the French  countryside in the early seventies... directed by a woman, this movie is all in delicacy and emotion.

Clint Eastwood's "Hereafter" is a drama with three stories in parallel about people who came very near to death.
It will probably be the easiest to find with English audio.

"Mesrine" is a gangster movie about the real life of Jacques Mesrine. The movie has two parts and you need to see both in correct order.

"Haute tension" is a horror movie with gore scenes.

The other ones are more romantic comedies.

I have to revise my statement that I haven't seen any of them. I have actually seen Hereafter. I just didn't recognize the image or remember the title. But when you said Clint Eastwood ...

Möbius sounds interesting. I'll look for that.

Wow, Devil's Advocate is rather high on this list. I have read positive stuff elsewhere as well. I may have to finally watch it...

I remember seeing The Sea of Love at the cinema. At that time this type of thriller was very common, but I seem to remember I did enjoy this one more than average. John Goodman and Ellen Barkin co-starred.

The Insider is the only one of those movies that I haven't seen. It's been in my unwatched pile since last summer, though. Maybe time to actually watch it?
