When I was younger I more than once watch a (I think so) direct-to-video production called
Mercy Mission: The Rescue of Flight 771.
It's even based on a true story.
There's a pilot (played by Scott Bacula) flying a Cessna over the pacific and due to bad weather and faulty equipment he gets lost. No land in sight, no navigation. When he's going to run out of fuel he will crash in the middle of the ocean without any hope for rescue.
Another pilot (Robert Loggia) is piloting a big Boing passenger liner and is trying to assist with the rescue by helping find the Cessna over the big ocean.
And that's about the story.
And now take this cover.
