The Buy More comedy bits are beginning to be my favorite parts.
I completed season 3 and this statement has become true.
Season 3 has had the most painful writing I have ever witnessed in any TV show, besides from soaps of course. Chuck has become ridiculously self-absorbed and seriously has to learn to shut up every once in a while. While a common trait in many characters on TV in general, Chuck takes the cake in regards to talking without listening what others have to say first, repeatedly ruining stuff. Ellie is even worse, I want to slap her almost every time she is on screen. But I think it has a lot to do with the poor writing, as I always have so much more knowledge about what's going on than Ellie. Although her blind trust in a stranger towards the end of the season is mind boggling...
In short, for me Chuck (the series) is best when Chuck (the character) or members of his family are not on scene
If season 4 doesn't get any better I probably won't make it to season 5.
EDIT:
Let me add, most spy stories are still great! And as long as Chuck is focused even he is fun in those.
