A week at a time... but you can renew them up to 4 times... so that gives up to a month if you really need to. And I can even renew over the net... so don't have to go there to do it. :)

That's nice.  I think the library here does a week.  Not sure if allowed to renew them or not.  I only got a few from there in the past.  I had trouble finding the ones I was looking for.

Made it to the library this morning... and I learned something new.... I have always thought that there was only the one wall of DVDs.... but there is actually 3. I noticed this morning some of the DVDs (that I never seen there before) being numbered with 3 different prefixes...

A = Adult (the ones I knew about)
YA = Young Adult
J = Kids/Junior

Each prefix is in a different location/room of the library. Since I like entertainment for all ages this opened me up to a lot more choices! Today I came home with...

Conan the Barbarian

A Quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrier soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Tony Micelli (Danza) is a former professional baseball player, who along with his preteen daughter (Milano) moves into advertising executive Angela Bower's (Light) house to be both housekeeper and father figure to Angela's young son (Pintauro). But Tony and Angela soon discover their chemistry collides with their professional relationship, further complicated by well-timed, biting commentary from Angela's eccentric mom (Helmond).

The Love Guru

Mike Myers plays the hilarious character The Guru Pitka!

As The Guru Pitka vies for the title of the world's best self-help guru, Pitka must help a star hockey player win his wife back from rival athlete Jacques "Le Coq" Grande (Justin Timberlake) and, along with it, the Stanley Cup. Will Pitka's comic Karmic intervention be enough to turn this losing team into champions?

Also starring Jessica Alba and Vern Troyer, The Love Guru is "one big laugh from beginning to end!" (Jim Ferguson, KGUN 9 ABC)

Shorts
| Year: 2009 | 89 Min.

While grownups at Black Box Industries work to improve the handheld gizmo that's this year's high-tech must-have, neighborhood kid Toby "Toe" Thompson has something even better: he's found the Wishing Rock. Be careful what you wish for, Toe! Spy Kids filmmaker Robert Rodriguez hatches a fun-filled story of the chaos that erupts when folks young and old get their hands on the rainbow-striped stone. Hang out with an army of tiny outer-space friends? Turn a pesky brother into a beetle? Own a mountain of cash? Be the most powerful person in the world? Guilt Trip is good...though it wasn't as funny as the trailers made it seem.

Soul Surfer is really good.  And it reinforces my decision to stay out of the ocean.
