The last time I was here at the library I borrowed the complete first season of a medical drama called Hawthorne. And I must say... I enjoyed every minute of it! So much so that when I got here today I grabbed seasons 2 and 3 off the shelf. The series only lasted 3 seasons. So I will be able to see the entire run. This is one series I have to see about adding to my collection!

I had to go to town today... so decided to stop into the library.

I was looking for the film Logan's Run so I could watch it for my Birthday Marathon.... as that title keeps coming up in searches for movies for a birthday marathon. Unfortunately they didn't have it in town here... but one of the other libraries in a nearby town has a copy do back in... so they requested it for me... should be here for me to pick up some time next week. I never seen Logan's Run before... and it sounds interesting so looking forward to it!

While I was there I checked their "new release" wall... and spotted this one...

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I grabbed this one for two reasons...

20% curiosity
80% Torture Brittany.... as she has said how stupid of an idea she thought it was...going to make her watch it with me this weekend!  :tease:

That film title make me think to a big drunk discussion I had with some friends more than 15 years ago...

It was about a zombie film with French Canadians politicians... you have no idea how something stupid like this almost brought a fight in our hotel room.

The simple idea of that concept angered me that night for whatever reasons... but mid-twenties + lot of alcool rarely equal logical thinking

The end was...

Me and one of my cousin watched the TV all night... as we were drunk we did choose the channel were they show the house for sale and we were commenting seriously for hours on the house, the price, etc.

Like if we were seriously interested to get 200,000$ houses at Montreal considering we were all from Petit-Saguenay and students with part-time jobs ::)

We laught about this everytime we see each others... we laugh about the silly zombie discussion too

I saw that Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was on one of the HBO channels the other night..I didn't watch it, but I may try to at some point now.  Just out of curiosity mainly.  Least I can get a review out of it even if it stinks.  :lol

I didn't think it stunk.  It isn't "high art (what ever the heck that is) but it is fun.  I am looking for a good value to buy it.
Thank you
David

I agree, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is good fun while it lasts.

And yes, in some way Logan's Run is about a birthday. The 30th, I believe...

Brittany and I stopped by the library today... while there I borrowed a disc...

Brian Keene's Ghoul
| Year: 2012 | 81 Min.| IMDb

Something ghastly haunts Golgotha Cemetery – an entity of unspeakable evil…and insatiable hunger. It is the summer of 1984, a time that should be full of lazy, carefree days for 12-year-old Timmy (Modern Family’s Nolan Gould) and his two best friends, Doug and Barry. But when a teenaged couple goes missing among the gravestones of the local cemetery, the bloodcurdling legend of a horrific ghoul begins to seem more like reality than myth. As the body count rises, Timmy and his friends are forced to confront their worst fears when they unearth long-buried secrets and unleash not only their personal demons…but also the one lurking underground! Based on the novel by Brian Keene comes GHOUL, a tale of terror about the convergence of monstrous inhumanity and a ravenous, inhuman monster.

I never seen it... but this one seems to be a TV movie that originally aired on the Chiller Channel... which unfortunately isn't available through Comcast Cable.

The profile was seriously lacking... so I updated that while I was at it. :)
