Fox paid $3m for the rights on this one last year after a bidding war and Reese Witherspoon has long been on board to produce (a suprise, so hopefully she'll be in it also). Big news today is this could be Fincher's next project if he can't make 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!

I say go with this one.  I am not sure another 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is really needed.  Sure they will over do cgi and not sure they can find a cast like the original.
