Writers have now been hired: Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry).

Thoughts on a T5 in general?

I'd heard that Arnold was going to be in it too.  Considering his age now, that seems a bit far fetched.

Considering his age now, that seems a bit far fetched.
Why? Charles Bronson did his last Death Wish films at 73, Sylvester Stallone is 67 and he always do action films, Bruce Willis is 58 and action films are is bread and butter... Arnold Schwarzenegger is only 66 years old and he is in good physical form so he isn't what I would call a typical old guy.

Not that I'm interested in that film whatever he is or isn't in it, I love the first one but the first sequel turned me off with its juvenile humor.

Yes..I know...but his part in these movies is as the unstoppable killing machine.  Least that is who he has always played before.  And even though he is in good shape, he does not look like he did when he made the first 2.  I guess it is just that the Terminator movies and his parts in them have been a bit more ....intense than other action movies.

I agree with Marie. Arnold's latest film, The Last Stand, is supposedly quite a solid effort. In general I enjoy movies where the "oldies" get to show they still have it (Expendables, RED, Sneakers to an extent; I need to find more). But in Terminator he is a robot and I find it hard to believe that Skynet would choose to age the molds for the robot skin to make him look different over the years...? Maybe a cameo like in 3 (where he is seen as the person who gives the robots their face) would be cool. He also cameoed in 4, but that was his CGI-self from the first/second movie.

He's confirmed it to Bleeding Cool

btw, I think I might have preferred a 3rd season of The Sarah Connor Chronicles but I still cannot wait for this.

I agree on the Chronicles. Especially since they had that incredible, promising cliffhanger at the end of season 2.

he Bleeding Cool story makes me feel more relaxed about Arnold's part in that film.
