2.20. Go Fish

Xander goes undercover on the Sunnydale swim team after members begin turning up dead, after apparently being skinned alive.

Silly episode who doesn't make a lot of sense, the script writing is kind of weak and lazy. But you got the chance to see Willow playing the tough guy (of course she did it on Jonathan but it's the thought that counts) and I guess that it's a big positive to see Nicholas Brendon in speedo for the girls :hmmmm:

2.21. Becoming: Part 1

Kendra returns to help Buffy when Angel plots to revive an ancient demons bent on sweeping everything on Earth into Hell itself.

The moment we were waiting for, the big confrontation between Angel and Buffy. Once again it's a two parters, but unlike the others one the first part isn't just a setting one. Of course it is but it's more than that as we learn a lot more about Angel's past and his first encounter with Buffy. An excellent episode that ends on a high dramatic note with the end of the Slayer.

I think Evil Angel is probably my favorite of all the "Big Bads" from Buffy. Definitely a great season!

One thing for sure : he is a better bad guy than Warren

But it isn't just Angel, Drusilla and Spike are part of the team too.

2.22. Becoming: Part 2

While Angel tortures Giles for needed information concerning a ritual, Spike strikes an unlikely alliance with Buffy to keep Angel from destroying the world.

Great conclusion to an excellent season. Of course the world is saved but at a very high price for Buffy herself. Even with a victory we left we a feeling of sadness and, even if I know that Pete won't agree, the music that accompanies the conclusion brought a lot to a powerfull conclusion.

I'm waiting after the Angel serie in the mail. I've already the first season, I expect the season 2, 4 and 5 tomorrow and the season 3 sometimes next week (it was shipped from the BC warehouse of Amazon). When I'll get them I'll take a break to watch Angel, but I'm sure I'll be able to season 3 of Buffy this weekend.

Angelus is definitely a strong villain.  He's so different from Angel..that made it more...powerful.
The end of season 2 was heartbreaking...least for me.

Not just for you Marie... A lot of episodes in that serie made me cry.

I'm supposed to say that because I'm a guy... What can I say, I'm not a robot and the writing is good enough to made me care for the characters.

3.1. Anne

Buffy -- living on her own in a big city -- assists a girl whose boyfriend has mysteriously vanished. Back in Sunnydale, Buffy's friends do their best to battle the forces of evil..

An ok openner considering that Buffy is alone and don't care anymore about her destiny. Of course that doesn't matter as her calling follow her as she will have to battle evil forces anyway. It's interesting to see the gang fighting vampires by themselves (they aren't that good) and realizing that whatever you do you can escape your responsability. The city evil forces are sure more organized than the vampire forces of Sunnydale...

You should watch Angel season 1 in parallel with Buffy season 4 to get the full effect of the crossover episodes. As far as I remember I had a list in my Buffy marathon thread where I collected the episodes where it is important to watch them in a particular order. If you are interested I can look for it this evening.

Yes I know but switching the disc is annoying to do. I've just watch Buffy entirely, so I know already when an episode of Angel is related to an episode of Buffy and why the events happen.

As I told Jimmy in PMs... I been wanting to watch them as they aired for years now...but the whole switching discs between each episode has stopped me as well. I still hope to do it one of these days. I need one of those players where you can put in more then one disc at a time!  :P
