Sports Betting

Anybody like to bet on sports? I'm not a big better, but like to place very small bets on games I'm going to watch on television just to make it a little more interesting. Anyway, I am placing two bets this afternoon.

West Ham vs Chelsea - I am betting on Chelsea to win @ 19/20 - Chelsea have not been playing well recently but will be looking to impress for their new manager. They also don't want the two Manchester teams to get too far ahead in the league. They should never be this price against a team who have just got back into the Premier League.

Carlisle United vs Bournemouth - I am betting on Carlisle to win @ 29/10 - I'm a Carlisle supporter and we've had a very poor run of results recently especially at home. Fans are getting upset, but we had a good result last week and it turns out scouts from the Premier League at looking at some of our teenage players. Bournemouth beat us a few weeks back so we want revenge, and the players want to get the trust of the fans back. It'll be tough, but those reasons coupled with players wanting to make good impressions in front of the scouts, I think we could cause an upset today.

The only gambling I do is when I take my mom to the casino a couple of times a year.

Although I've never bet on sports, my brother and his neighbor do quite frequently.

I've never seen 2 luckier people in my life, they win much more than they lose. The biggest they won was something like $10,000 on a football (American) pool.

Never it's a sin...

No seriously, I don't bet on sport as it is illegal here. Loto Québec is the only autorized organization for doing it legally and we can only bet on multiple games and not on single game with them, so it's too hard (to not say impossible) to win.

Well, Chelsea were all over them in the first half. West Ham didn't have a single shot and Chelsea were ahead 1-0. Then the second half went to crap and West Ham were excellent. They beat Chelsea 3-1 and the bet lost. I'll never see that £5 again

Hopefully Carlisle do better (because they are my team, not because I bet on them) :P

I've never bet on anything where I am not physically involved somehow.

I don't like being completely out of control when wagering money. At least at a casino I feel like I have a little control over my money's fate.
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

The only betting I do is on the Grand National  and I don't think that really counts.
