The original The Fly wasn't 'ridiculous' in 1960 when I saw it.

Maybe we have become a little jaded ... There was a time when people were afraid of Vampires and Werewolves .. now they want to date them.  :)
Thank you
David

It has also been released in Germany. And I was thinking about ordering it for this marathon. But then I thought I would watch the DVD and decide later if I should double dip. The quality of the DVD is still good. And if it weren't for the director's cut ending, I would not be tempted to double-dip.
The inclusion of the director's cut made it an instant must-buy for me! I have been wanting to see it ever since I saw glimpses of it during a TV special many many moons ago.

It is already on my wishlist. I will buy it, when it drops to around €8.

My Thoughts:
I remember that this movie was the first movie I rented at the age of 12 when I got my own video rental customer card. I always enjoyed this movie, though it has been a long time since I last watched it. Seeing it now, I feel that it went a little to far with its meta humor at times. But I still enjoyed it.
I always thought that Phoebe Cates was really cute in this movie.

I will not watch any more movies today, so this was it for my Horror marathon. I watched more horror than I had expected. 27 horror movies this month.
I have replaced my list with a generated one which only shows the movies I actually watched.

For someone who isn't a big fan of the horror genre you did quite a performance Tom.

As I've said in the past what is important isn't how many films we watch, what is important is to introduce the other to movies we like ;D
