My Thoughts:
I know there is many people out there that don't care for this movie... much prefer the TV Series. While I do agree with them that I much prefer the TV Series version... I still enjoy this film quite a bit. I find it to be a fun horror comedy. And it is another film I am sure to fit in every year at this time. I thought Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland and Rutger Hauer were all good in this.  Paul Reubens was fine in it... but he did get on my nerves a little bit. Especially how he over-acted his death. Sure at first it was right funny.... but I found it to be drawn out a little too far. I think if you go into this one expecting what it is... a silly, cheesy movie... then I think you will enjoy it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Count:
Movies: 6
TV Eps: 25

Nope... actually I tried to get her to watch them with me but she completely refused!  :bag: :P I had them recorded and wanted to try to watch them. Defenitely not the easiest films for me to get through!

Though I am a bit surprised Britt won't even try them. :P

My Thoughts:
I found I am really getting into the storyline of this series. So I am trying to finish watching the DVDs for this series so I can watch the 4th season as it airs. Which starts on the 11th. Obviously since I still have up over 2 seasons to watch first... and my season 2 and 3 sets haven't arrived yet... I will have to set season 4 to record. My favorite episode on this disc was Blood Brothers as it showed how the brothers became vampires.

I've watched the Twilight movies..they are ok, but nothing that great.  I can deal with different versions of vampires - some that can go out in the day or whatever...but the sparkling part is just ridiculous..especially with the way it looks in the movie.  It looked like someone dumped a vat of glitter on Edward.

But there a lot of shirtless guys in that no? Women are supposed to like that in a movie

Not really in the first one...I know Edward at least opens his shirt when he shows Bella how he...glitters.  He may not take his shirt off until the second one.
Jacob and the other so called werewolves  can't seem to keep a shirt on in the later movies.  Seeing as how Jacob was supposed to be 16 or 17, and Lautner was about that age too, it didn't do anything for me.  Not that I think Edward or Jacob are .....ugly or anything, I don't drool over them or see what the appeal is.  A pale, pasty, glittering vampire and a super grumpy wanna be werewolf.  Umm..no.
I had the misfortune of having 2 teenage girls not that far from me in a theater when a preview for one of the movies started..they immediately freaked out and went into some sort of fit.  I've never seen anything like it before.

I always find that kind of reaction funny... Most women react the same way when they watch a man stripping act. This is is so different than what I've seen from the men at a strip club as we watch and don't have stupid reaction like it was the first we saw a naked woman. Of course, there are exceptions but that kind of idiots were thrown out by the doorman at the club I was a client of.

Yeah... the shirtless guys got on my nerves while watching the second two. Not much of that in the first one what so ever as was already said.

Last night I finished off season 1 of Vampire Diaries... not sure what I will watch today yet.

The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season: Disc Five
21. Isobel
Elena's mother returns to Mystic Falls setting off a chain reaction of astonishing revelations.

22. Founder's Day
The dead arise, the living die. Founder's Day begins with a parade and ends in fiery terror.

Stars:
Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert
Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore
Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore
Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert
Sara Canning as Jenna Sommers

My Thoughts:
This disc completes the first season. Thankfully the series is really growing on me. Both episodes on this disc is quite good. And the season finale ends in a good cliffhanger... so I can't wait for season 2 (and 3) to arrive... hopefully within the next couple days. Mia Kirshner (The L Word) has a guest starring role in a handful of episodes in this series. Playing one of the vampires. Which I found kinda fun... considering in her teen years she played a vampire hunter of sorts in the Saturday morning show Dracula: The Series.

Teen Wolf: The Complete Season One: Disc 2

HEART MONITOR
Scott and Stiles come up with ways for him to control the transformation in order to be with Allison. Derek continues trying to make an ally of Scott in both his battle with the hunters and in his goal to find a mysterious figure that both sides are tracking.

NIGHT SCHOOL
Trapped in the school at night, Scott and his friends face both suspicions among each other and the threat of attack from a powerful werewolf trying to get in.

LUNATIC
With Derek on the run from Silinski and his sheriff's department, Stiles must help Scott face his second full moon as a werewolf. Meanwhile, Jackson takes advantage of complications in Scott and Allison's relationship.

Stars:
Tyler Posey as Scott McCall
Crystal Reed as Allison Argent
Dylan O'Brien as Stiles Stilinski
Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale
Holland Roden as Lydia Martin

My Thoughts:
Yes... I am still hooked on watching TV series at this point. But don't worry... I will be watching more movies as well. This is another series I have enjoyed quite a bit. I like the design of the werewolves... both the Alpha and the Beta werewolves. While I enjoyed all the episodes on this disc... I would have to pick Night School for my favorite this time.

Yeah... the shirtless guys got on my nerves while watching the second two. Not much of that in the first one what so ever as was already said.

That part was just stupid.  I did read the books a few years back..I can't remember if Jacob had shirt issues in them too or if that was built up in the movies.

I'll eventually see the last movie..just to see it.  But I'm in no hurry and there is no way I'm subjecting myself to going to a theater full of teenage girls - or even the adult Twilight fans that go nuts.

I still say there was no need to split the final book into 2 movies.  Yes the book was long, but it was a lot of filler nonsense that could have been cut.  As it is now, there will probably have to be a lot of stupid filler in the final movie.  There just wasn't the subject matter in the final book to warrant two movies.  It worked with the last Potter movie because the book really had a lot of stuff to finish up..there was enough there to support 2 movies without artificially making them longer.  Breaking Dawn is not the same at all.  I fully believe that the reason for the decision was just to milk the fans for one more movie in the case of Twilight.

I don't think the final book in the Hunger Games series needs 2 movies either.  Just because it worked with the last Potter book, doesn't mean it will work with every other final book in a series.

Ok..I'm done now..wasn't trying to take over your thread. :)
