Ninja Turtles (2013)
« on: March 26, 2012, 08:50:02 PM »
This is Bay's latest project. He's already getting serious flack with dropping "Teenage Mutant" from the name and saying they have decided upon an origins story which makes the turtles aliens. :hysterical:

Oh Bay, he likes to cause a scene. When will people realise that it is all publicity and it is never quite how it is put out there and spun by the media?

Bay's latest comments to the fans? "Take, a pill. Chill out".

3 reasons why space Ninja Turtles don't work:

And Bay said Paramount changed the name:
Quote
Paramount marketing changed the name. They made the title simple. The characters you all remember are exactly the same, and yes they still act like teenagers. Everything you remember, why you liked the characters, is in the movie. This script is being developed by two very smart writers, with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles. They care VERY MUCH about making this film for the fans. Everyone on this team cares about the fans. Just give them a chance. Jonathan the director, is a major fan of the whole franchise. HE’S NOT GOING TO LET YOU DOWN.

Two guys who wrote mostly TV show episodes screenplay and never wrote a film except MI4 are two very smart writers ???

Writing a TV script and a film script is a different thing...

edit
Are they as smart as the ones who just copy the Robert S. Fiveson's screenplay of Clonus and called it The Island?

"We are creating a TMNT movie.... except we are changing the name.... and their background/back story.... and the location.... and everything else. It is going to be the best TMNT movie ever!"
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

Let's see how it turns out. Despite their cheesiness, I really like the first two live-action Turtles movies, they had a great german dub.

What else could they say? "We got those guys who don't know what tehy are doing, but they are all we got for the money we have?"

MI4 apparently was not all that bad, but maybe that had also more to do with Brad Bird (I am quoting reviews, I haven't seen it).

Just sayin', I couldn't care less about those shelled teens. Hmmmm, if they act like teens, I wonder how raunchy it wil get :hysterical:

I really like MI:4 as an action thriller. I felt the action had a particular style that made it relevant amongst the Bonds and Bournes. The writing was merely good. Nothing special to cause a reaction either way.

Maybe the alien angle on their origin was becoming too strong? :hysterical:
