My Review:
Well, it looked like an interesting movie. A few ok actors in it aswell, and Dave Bautista had the lead role in the movie. (he's a former WWE superstar. And since i'm a big fan of WWE, it got my attention.) But what can i say about this 'action flick' as they called it. Well, It started of ok, but it went downhill very quick. The storyline wasnt interesting enough for me, its been a million times before. And they didnt pull it off. The movie was very slow aswell, and you kinda knew after 15minutes in the movie who was the real bad guy in the movie. (boring) And i hoped with all the known actors they would do something good with it. And i hoped Batista would impress me too, but for me they dropped the ball on this one!
For me, i didnt enjoy this. And i wouldnt recommand to watch it either. (Sorry)

My Rating:
2/6

Well done. I watched House of the Rising Sun a few weeks back and come to a similar conclusion. I scored it slightly better (2.5/5) but thought it was nothing new, below average cast but some good set pieces. I do like Amy Smart though.

Thanks :) yeah, some of the reason i wanted to watch the movie was beacuse of Dave Bautista (a former wwe superstar) since i'm a huge WWE fan! But nothing that impressed me about him in the movie. But i too like Amy Smart, i specially liked her in the Crank movies!
(I hoped we would see more of Danny Trejo in the movie)

My Review:
Yeah, well.. Didnt know what i was expect going in to this movie, heard a bit different things about it. Both that Mr.Cage did a great job as the lead, and that he did a bad job as the lead. Boring movie, great movie. Perfect! So my expectations was at a 0 this time. I wanted to see this movie beacuse different reasons, one of them is that i am a big fan of the oldschool Nic Cage. Hoped i would see him in this one, but not really. But the movie in itself was quite nice actually. A good mix between suspence and thriller IMO. The story was interesting for me aswell. And they had you guessing trough-out the movie, and there was a few twists in the movie (wich i always like!) The movie was slow at times, but it moved kinda steady too. (if steady is a word) And i have to say that i liked Nic Cage in the lead, i think he did a good job. And i think January Jones did a good job aswell. And it was nice to see Jennifer Carpenter (even tho she had a tiny role in this one)
A movie that i would recommand for almost everyone! I could find myself watching it again :D

Agree, better than expected and I enjoyed the way the vigilante aspect is 'paid' back. I gave it a 3.5/5.

The next stuff by Nicolas Cage i want to watch is the National Treasure series.(and maby face\off after that) And  I remember i watched them back when they came out on dvd. So it will be nice to check them out on bluray again. Dont remember much about those. I read somewhere that there will be a National Treasure 3 in the future. That would be interesting.

Plot:
Nina (Portman) is a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her obsessive former ballerina mother Erica (Hershey) who exerts a suffocating control over her. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side - a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.

My Review:
Well, going in to this movie i didnt really know what to think or expect. And i am not a fan of dancing movies at all! But when it comes to this movie. I've heard so much about it, how great it is and how much more it is then just ballet. And its been alot of fuzz about the movie, beacuse of the much talked about love scene between Nat Portman and Mila Kunis. And the people i've spoken to just loved Nat Portman in the movie. And going in to the movie i was a bit sceptical about it. But i got positivly suprised by the movie. Even though its a movie about ballet, its so much more. In the movie we are following a girls dream to go to the top, and how she's willing to pay for it. I liked the story of the movie. Its a strong movie in many ways. And the Natalie Portmans role, wow.. The Oscar she got for it, very well deserved! (IMO) And i gotta admit, both Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis is very hot! ;)
Its a movie i recommand you guys to check out! Even though you dont like dance movies. (i dont like dance movies) and i liked this one alot.
And you would never get me to watch Dirty Dancing or Billy Elliot f.ex

To put "Ghost" in a row with "Dirty Dancing" is a bit like comparing "Pulp Fiction" to "Battlefield Earth".
Ghost is definitely no Dance-flick, one might discuss if it's worth seeing though.

Sorry about that! :) My bad.
I've just edited it now. Hope this is better :)
But i really liked Black Swan, even though i dont like the "typical dance flicks" , and i think this one did what Dirty Dancing and Billy Elliot did not manage to do. IMO anyways =)

Nice! Both are real good movies!
I gave Inception a 5/6 :D A little hard sometimes (IMO) to keep track where they was etc. Other than that, i would give a perfect 6/6! But then again i like most of Leonardo Dicaprio's work tho.

Aw .. you shouldn't have changed it ..

You are right about this movie though.  It is great.  A strong recommend on my part.  And Barbara Hershey was brilliant.

I do like Natalie Portman, but in this film I think it is a combination of all the player that make it so stunning.  Not bad direction and filming also :)
Thank you
