The AvengersNick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who's who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.
My Thoughts:Before leaving to see this movie I was hoping all the hype I have read over the last few days wouldn't have my expectations up too high. Thankfully that was not the case... as I enjoyed every second of it! Don't worry... I will not go into any spoilers here. But this movie looked fantastic! It helps that I seldomly ever go to the theater... so seeing it on the big screen really was something different for me. This movie is almost two and a half hours long... but it sure didn't feel like it while watching it! Everything moved quickly... it is quite action packed... and it has a plenty of laughs as well. Sure there was maybe a few jokes that fell flat for me... but for the most part I think Joss Whedon did an excellent job. As did the entire cast. I was a little concerned about Mark Ruffalo taking over the part of Bruce Banner... but I liked him in the role too. The Hulk was great on the big screen... matter of fact he stole the show in my personal opinion. As usual with these movies... don't forget to stay after the credits for a last little scene. Something not many people did in the theater we were at. But if you get the chance... definitely try to see this one on the big screen!
