Sliders: Season 3
Disc 1

Side B:

5. THE DREAM MASTERS
Original Air Date: 10/18/96
On a world where have learned to torture people by entering their dreams, Wade becomes a target of the group's leader.

My Thoughts:
Another good one. In this episode we go a bit into the mystic over the scientific.... which I don't care for much (not in a sci-fi series). But it does still focus mostly on the scientific. It was enough to keep my interest.

My Rating:

6. DESERT STORM
Original Air Date: 11/1/96
The Sliders land on a world with little water and come to the aid of a mysterious young woman who's gift to find water is being exploited by a group of thugs.

My Thoughts:
This episode is not quite as good as the previous episodes.. but it is still enjoyable. It is another episode that goes into the mystical... even more so then the previous one.

My Rating:

7. DRAGON SLIDE
Original Air Date: 11/8/96
On a world of magic and dragons, Quinn is mistaken for a wizard and kidnapped by an evil warlock bent on immortality. Meanwhile, Wade tries to help Rembrandt's love troubles with a love potion, but it backfires and makes Rembrandt fall in love with her.

My Thoughts:
Now this one goes deep into the mystical side of things... it almost feels like it forgot it was a Sci-Fi show. While I still enjoyed it for what it was... I still prefer the regular Sci-Fi based episodes.

My Rating:

8. THE FIRE WITHIN
Original Air Date: 11/15/96
After barely escaping a world engulfed in flames, the Sliders now find themselves in a Los Angeles dependent on the sale and production of oil. Unfortunately, they learn they've brought along a piece of the fire from the last world and that it has a mind of it's own.

My Thoughts:
This one is more like the original episodes that hooked me on the series so much. Though it is still not as good as many of the other episodes. It is just a little on the slow side... so I had a little trouble keeping my interest in it.

My Rating:

Disc 1 Side B Thoughts:
The episodes seem to take a downward spiral at this point. Though I know there is a lot of very good epiosdes yet to come. The Dream Masters is easily my favorite episode out of the above. Once again... there is no extras here.

Sliders: Season 3
Disc 2

Side A:

9. THE PRINCE OF SLIDES
Original Air Date: 11/22/96
On a world where the American government is a monarchy, Rembrandt is mistaken for his double and discovers that he is about to be a father of royalty. The only problem is, on this world, its the men who give birth to children.

My Thoughts:
This is a decent episode... though not what I would call a favorite. It was pretty fun seeing a pregnant Remmy though.

My Rating:

10. DEAD MAN SLIDING
Original Air Date: 11/29/96
on a world where the legal system is in the form of televised game shows, Quinn is arrested, tried and sentenced to death for crimes of his double.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode... and has a couple blasts from the past. It has guest stars from a couple old TV Sitcoms... Don Most (Ralph Mouth on Happy Days) and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Fredyy "Boom Boom" Washington on Welcome Back, Kotter).

My Rating:

11. STATE OF THE ART
Original Air Date: 12/6/96
The sliders land on a world where the human race was wiped out by robots. Quinn and Rembrandt are captured by the robots' demented creator who has plans to use them in a mind transfer experiment.

My Thoughts:
This is another decent episode... but not a favorite. I think the whole last person on Earth type thing had to be told in this series. But I think my favorite thing about this show is that it has Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) as a guest star.

My Rating:

12. SEASON'S GREEDINGS
Original Air Date: 12/20/96
On a world where people are enticed by consumerism and giant malls in the sky, the Sliders get jobs as mall employees in order to find the mother of an abandoned child. Arturo is a reluctant Santa, Rembrandt and Wade are his elves, while Quinn gets an administrative job. Meanwhile, Wade faces some strong emotions when she meets her sister and father.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... I really enjoyed it. It shows just how commercialized Christmas has become... in an extreme example of course. It also tries to show what is important when it comes to Christmas... family.

My Rating:

Disc 2 Thoughts:
The episodes on this disc is pretty good for the most part. My favorite episode on the disc would be Dead Man Sliding just for the plain fun of it. Once again we have a disc with no extras what so ever.

Sliders: Season 3
Disc 2

Side B

13. MURDER MOST FOUL
Original Air Date: 1/3/97
On an overworked world with an uptight population, Arturo is thought to be a fracture and is sent to a fantasy camp for a form of relaxation. When the others find him, they see he has been brainwashed into thinking he is a great detective on the trail of a Jack the Ripper-like murderer.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. One of my favorites. I like the whole Jack the Ripper storyline. And having Professor Arturo being a Sherlock Holmes like character was good.

My Rating:

14. SLIDE LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
Original Air Date: 1/17/97
On a world ruled by Egyptian culture, Quinn is used in a life-after-death experiment and thought dead. the others miss the slide when trying to save a woman from a sacrifice and become trapped in a pyramid with a big scarab.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. This is the first time (that I remember at least) that they missed the slide. I also enjoyed the life after death experience that Quinn went through.

My Rating:

15. PARADISE LOST
Original Air Date: 1/31/97
The Sliders arrive in a small community, where the citizens are all young and fearful of outsiders. They don't expect much trouble, until they uncover a deadly secret.

My Thoughts:
Another one of my favorite episodes. It is like a twist on the Tremor movies.

My Rating:

16. THE EXODUS (Part 1)
Original Air Date: 2/21/97
Things don't look good for the Sliders when they slide to a world that's about to be eradicated by a rogue pulsar. Soon, they discover that this world has been developing sliding technology and they pull their resources with the U.S. government in a race to escape to a parallel Earth.

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. And the introduction of Maggie... who is to become the newest regular slider. I like how you see multiple worlds in this episode as they search for a new world for the survivors of the doomed world. And this one ends with Quinn finally finding their home world.

My Rating:

Disc 2 Side B Thoughts:
A very good disc... most episodes on this disc I consider excellent. So a little hard to pick a favorite... but I guess I would have to go with The Exodus (Part 1)... if for no other reason then the introduction of Maggie. Once again... no extras to talk about here.

Sliders: Season 3
Disc 3

Side A:

17. THE EXODUS (Part 2)
Original Air Date: 2/28/97
Quinn and Maggie return to her world with Earth Prime's coordinates stored in Jensen's timer. As Wade makes the final list for those who can slide to safety, Arturo races to modify the new timer to slide more people. Unfortunately for them, an unexpected danger lurks the base and one Slider will not make it to the next world.

My Thoughts:
The search for the new world continues. While I know it was needed... I have always had mixed feelings about the Rickman storyline. I just never cared for the character. I wouldn't say it is a storyline that gets boring. But it does get kinda old after the first time you view it. Seems weird but basically that multi-episode storyline don't have as much rewatch value as the rest of the series does. This is also the episode we say goodbye to Professor Arturo. But all that said... it is the end of a very good 2-parter episode.

My Rating:

18. SOLE SURVIVORS
Original Air Date: 3/7/97
The Sliders arrive on a world where a strange bacteria transformed the inhabitants into flesh-easting zombies. When Quinn is bitten, he begins to turn into one of them.

My Thoughts:
Just by the description I am sure you know that I liked this episode! I thought they did the zombies pretty cool... and liked the effects they used for the dead (and eaten) corpse they found when they first slid onto this Earth. The glowing eyes were pretty cool as well.

My Rating:

19. THE BREEDER
Original Air Date: 1/31/97
A creature inbeds a parasite in Maggie just before the slide, which takes the Sliders to a world where young adults are used in a mandatory organ-donor program. The others will have to find Maggie before she finds the perfect mate and lays her eggs.

My Thoughts:
Oh... this is another really good episode. And this one makes 2 in a row that is somewhat horror related. You know I love that! Of course even as the plot says... this one is pretty much a rip-off of the movie Species. But I still enjoyed every minute of it. It really has been a great run of episodes here lately.

My Rating:

20. THE LAST OF EDEN
Original Air Date: 2/21/97
Wade and Rembrandt recall their slide to a world plagued by earthquakes and populated with primitive people. Wade falls into a deep chasm and Quinn goes to rescue her, while Rembrandt learns of Arturo's illness.

My Thoughts:
Apparently they had an unaired episode with Professor Arturo...So in the beginning of the episode they showed it to be Rembrandt and Wade talking one night... recounting the story. It is a good episode... I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My Rating:

Disc 3 Side A Thoughts:
This one has a very good run of episodes. This time around I think my favorite episode is Sole Survivor. I am sure it is no big surprise I picked one of the horror episodes. And once again... no extras.

Sliders: Season 3
Disc 3

Side B:

21. THE OTHER SLIDE OF DARKNESS
Original Air Date: 4/11/97
The Sliders track Rickman to a superstitious town. Their search is further complicated when Quinn and Maggie are captured by natives living in a mysterious fog. There, Quinn runs into soeone from his past — himself.

My Thoughts:
While a somewhat weird episode... it is a good one. I did ejoy it. Though it is not the best episode I ever seen. Wade and Maggie is still in the outs at this point.

My Rating:

22. SLITHER
Original Air Date: 4/25/97
While on vacation, Quinn and Rembrandt get mixed up in an illegal snake deal and find themselves stuck in the middle of nowhere surrounded by deadly snakes. Meanwhile, Wade and Maggie get involved with a shady man in their search for the others.

My Thoughts:
This is another one I didn't care for quite as much as the others. I don't know why... but this one just didn't keep my intrest as much.

My Rating:

23. DINOSLIDE
Original Air Date: 5/2/97
The Sliders chase Rickman back to the world they helped colonize, the New World. Only now they find the colonists are being hunted by a hungry Tyrannosaurus Rex.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. In this one we get an update on the colonists... and have some dinosaur fun as well!

My Rating:

24. STOKER
Original Air Date: 5/9/97
Wade falls under the spell of a rock band's charismatic lead singer, who is really a vampire and looking to use Wade to get the timer. Meanwhile, the others try to track down Rickman.

My Thoughts:
They are vampires... what do you think my thoughts are?... I loved it! But why did they have to make the vampires a rock band? At least while there is some music in the episode... they really didn't over do it. This one has two familiar guest stars in it. Tommy Chong (Cheech & Chong as a vampire hunter and Danny Masterson (That '70s Show) as a Renfield type character... matter of fact his name in the episode is Renfield.

My Rating:

Disc 3 Side B Thoughts:
Towards the end of this disc the season is pulling itself out of it's slump a little. Favorite episode on this disc... easily Stoker... come on it is a vampire episode after all! Once again no extras what so ever with these.

Sliders: Season 3
Disc 4

Side A:

25. THIS SLIDE OF PARADISE
Original Air Date: 5/16/97
The Sliders track Rickman to a world where a mad scientist has been experimenting with genetic testing and has created a race of human hybrids.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good conclusion to the season. I know this episode was a rip off of a movie. Though can't think of the name of it especially since I never seen it (maybe it was The Island of Dr. Moreau?).  But what really got me was the season end cliffhanger that really got me wanting to start the next season.

My Rating:

Disc 4 Side A Thoughts:
Well... I guess I don't have to tell you my favorite episode on this disc... after all, there is only one episode on this disc! That means this is another season down. Only 2 more seasons to watch. There is only one Sliders related extra on this disc. That being a gag reel. Which is something I always enjoy seeing. There is 2 other extras on this disc. The studio trying to get you to buy other series by giving you a single episode of other series. In this case an episode of Cleopatra 2525 and an episode of Earth 2. But hey... I guess it works since I have both those series in my collection!

Sliders: Season 4
Disc 1

1. Genesis
Original Air Date: 6/8/98
Home isn't necessarily where the heart is when Quinn and Maggie discover the Earth Prime has been taken over by warrior Kromaggs in their absence.

My Thoughts:
While I normally don't care for the ongoing Kromagg storyline... this is a very good episode. Unfortunately we have to say goodbye to Wade in this season. One of my favorite characters.

My Rating:

2. Prophets and Loss
Original Air Date: 6/8/98
The Sliders jump to the scary side of organized religion when they land in an eerily peaceful Los Angeles ruled by an oracle the sends people to "the Other Side."

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good episode. Though they used this "help the rebels" part of the storyline on more then one occasion before. So that took away from it a little for me. Though I did like the rest of the storyline.

My Rating:

3. Common Ground
Original Air Date: 6/15/98
The Sliders land in a world where the Kromaggs conduct ruthless experiments on humans, but trusting a Kromagg commander may be their only way out.

My Thoughts:
This is one of the several Kromagg related episodes... and one of the several I didn't care much for. I found it pretty slow and boring actually.

My Rating:

4. Virtual Slide
Original Air Date: 6/22/98
Maggie's sanity is a danger when she's captured by a greedy businessman who uses virtual reality scenarios to try to get her to reveal the secret to sliding.

My Thoughts:
Not a bad episode... but pretty much average. At least this one don't have any Kromaggs in it... though they do discuss them a bit.

My Rating:

Disc 4 Side A Thoughts:
OK... this is the season where the series starts to show a noticeable downward spiral. There is one excellent episode on this disc... that being Genesis. The rest are basically average or worse. The loss of another regular cast member don't help matters much either. There is no show related extras in this entire season 4 set unfortunately. From this point on I have a feeling the episodes will be harder for me to get through... but I am determined to make it through the next two seasons fairly soon.

Sliders: Season 4
Disc 2

5. WORLD KILLER
It's double the trouble when the Sliders land in a world in which Quinn's double has created a device that has caused the rest of the human population to disappear.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not as good as some of the previous episodes. In this episode Jerry O'Connell plays 2 roles through-out the episode.

My Rating:

6. OH BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?
Quinn is finally reunited with his long-lost brother. Colin, but loses him again when he gets caught up in a frozen corpse-smuggling scheme.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. As it says above in this one Quinn finds his brother colin... who was played by Jerry O'Connell's real life brother Charlie O'Connell. I liked how they made his brother come from a parrellel world that is so far behind (almost like the Amish) everything is amazing to him.

My Rating:

7. JUST SAY YES
Colin and Maggie find out the hard way what drugs can do when they land in a drug-addled society and accidentally become junkies themselves.

My Thoughts:
This one I didn't care for all that much. I just didn't care much for the whole drugged up world. Especially how they had Maggie and Colin acting when they were in the "rehabilitation center." There is a familiar face in this episode. That of J. August Richards who played Gunn in Angel.

My Rating:

8. THE ALTERNATEVILLE HORROR
One dark and stormy night the Sliders land in a haunted hotel, but the "ghosts" may be more closely related to them than they first appear.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... though not enough "ghost" stuff in this one for my taste. I definitely enjoyed it though. I especially enjoyed the fact that they changed the roles of Quinn and Remmy for their doubles. Making Remmy the genius and Quinn the rock star... though I didn't care for Quinn as the rock star... I didn't like the style they gave him. I mean it gave me a chuckle at first... but it got old quickly.

My Rating:

9. SLIDECAGE
While trying to reach Quinn and Colin's home world and their birth parents, the Sliders become trapped in a lethal labyrinth with no way out.

My Thoughts:
I remember this one being better then what it was. While to this point they didn't use them too much... I find I am already tiring of the Kromagg storyline.

My Rating:

Season 4: Disc 3

10. ASYLUM
Rembrandt falls for a beautiful doctor who is Quinn's only home for survival, but her dangerous secret could mean doom for everyone else.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode... pretty much a Kromagg episode with no Kromaggs. The sliders arrived on a world that dealt with the kromaggs and they took all their natural resources and left them. I found this to be more entertaining then the ones where the Kromaggs are actually in the episode for some reason.

My Rating:

11. CALIFORNIA REICH
Rembrandt's latest jump has him fearing for his life when the groups lands in a dimension where minorities are rounded up by the violent racist elite.

My Thoughts:
This time the end up in racist world. Definitely not one of my favorites. I mean it is ok... but no more then that. I find it a bit on the slow and boring side.

My Rating:

12. THE DYING FIELDS
An Eden-like-setting hides a fearful secret when the Sliders stumble across two Hu-maggs - part Kromagg, part human - who are involved in a deadly game.

My Thoughts:
While I normally dislike the Kropmagg episodes... this one I enjoyed quite a bit. I liked the whole man-hunting game and the Hu-maggs were actually quite entertaining.

My Rating:

13. LIPSCHITZ LIVE
It's light, camera, Colin when the Sliders land in a world where he is mistaken for his wealthy double and the whole society seems to be turned in to a ridiculous TV show.

My Thoughts:
This one is more of a humourous episode. And I can enjoy it for what it is... but the quality of the storyline really isn't up to standards with the rest of the series.

My Rating:

14. MOTHER AND CHILD
Maternal instinct causes trouble for the Sliders when they dicide to help an escapee from a breeding camp and her half-Kromagg offspring.

My Thoughts:
It is an alright episode. More Kromagg stuff. The storyline wasn't really bad... but it isn't an episode that I tend to remember much after watching it... for some reason the Kromagg heavy episode just bore me a bit.

My Rating:

Season 4: Disc 4

15. NET WORTH
Virtual reality takes on new meaning when the Sliders are split up on a world addicted to an internet-addicted world and get caught up in a dangerous romance between an Online girl and and Offliner.

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty good... but standard episode. Felt mostly like a filler episode to me.

My Rating:

16. SLIDE BY WIRE
Maggie's double seizes an opportunity to go to a different world with the unknowing Sliders, while the real Maggie is left behind in a brutal military experiment.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. I liked how they went from a technologically advanced world to where one where technology is forbidden. I also liked how they took the wrong Maggie with them and had to go back for her. Something they couldn't have done in the earlier seasons.

My Rating:

17. DATA WORLD
The Sliders check in to a glamorous hotel with strict rules of decorum, but once the idyllic retreat has "scanned" them, they find themselves encrypted in a computer program they can't escape.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... played more for fun. Because of that it had quite a bit of Comedy in it. I especially liked the fighting scene.

My Rating:

18. WAY OUT WEST
The spirit of the West is alive and kicking when the Sliders land in an Old West town and face a showdown with their old nemesis, Mr. K.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. This is one I actually enjoyed quite a bit... and it does have a Kromagg in it. This one you are back in the Old West once again. It is also one of the very few (I can't even remember another one) where at the end of the episode we don't see them slide to the next world.

My Rating:

Season 4: Disc 5

19. MY BROTHER'S KEEPER

Quinn's body is not his own when the Sliders arrive in a world where his is expected to act as an organ donor for his injured double.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good episode. In this episode Malcolm Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show) gust stars as a clone... where in this world they create clones to harvest for people when transplants are needed.

My Rating:

20. THE CHASM
The serene town of Middletown hides a deadly secret of human sacrifice that threatens to claim Rembrandt and Maggie.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I enjoyed quite a bit. Though I must admit that the ending... what the chasm leads to was a little bit of a let down. But over all... was worth the watch.

My Rating:

21. ROADS TAKEN
An unusual slide forces Quinn and Maggie to prematurely age, and it's up to Rembrandt to find a cure before they are destroyed by life in a "bubble universe."

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... but not one of my favorites. they try something a little new in this episode... by having their slide (well Quinn and Maggie's stress while in the slide) creating a world.

My Rating:

22. REVELATIONS
An aging sci-fi writer helps Quinn and Colin reunite with their birth parents, but the warm family reunion is not what it seems.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this season finale. Quinn and Colin think they are finally home. I did have one problem with this episode. Every time before when they opened the vortex it was stationary. But this time they open it while being on the top of a moving train... and instead of the vortex staying still and them moving away from it... the vortex followed behind the train to let them jump in. I know... it is a sci-fi show and anything is possible... but it just wasn't being true to all the episodes before it.

My Rating:
Pete

Season 5: Disc 1

1. The Unstuck Man
A scientist named Dr. Oberon Geiger uses Colin, Quinn and Quinn's double as guinea pigs for an experiment that combines people and parallel worlds.

My Thoughts:
This episode don't have me very hopeful for the final season. At this point I am not that impressed with the new regular characters. They should have never gotten rid of the Mallory brothers. They were essential to the series... especially Quinn. Hopefully I will get used to the new characters... but I don't know.

My Rating:

2. Applied Physics
Diana attempts to separate Quinn and his double, while the combined version experiences violent flashbacks from Quinn's life.

My Thoughts:
At this point I still don't care for the new regular cast members... and don't particularly like the direction the storyline is going... But at the same time I kinda enjoyed this episode. More then I thought I would at least.

My Rating:

3. Strangers and Comrades
The sliders land on a barren wasteland and are forced to participate in a neverending battle with the Kromaggs.

My Thoughts:
A Kromagg episode that I actually enjoyed a bit. And I am now just starting to get used to the new main cast. I still definitely prefer the brothers... but at least they aren't bugging me the way the did in the first couple episodes.

My Rating:

4. The Great Work
The sliders seek assistance from reclusive monks who later refuse to let them leave.

My Thoughts:
This one just didn't hold my attention. I found myself starting to do other things while this episode more or less just played in the background. This one is basically just a slow and boring episode.

Season 5: Disc 2

5. New Gods for Old
Mallory is shot with a laser beam and ends up paralyzed, and looks for help from a group of spiritual healers.

My Thoughts:
This one isn't too bad... but not what I would call great either. It has an interesting storyline... but I found I just didn't care about the characters.

My Rating:

6. Please Press One
Maggie is kidnapped by a corporate conglomerate.

My Thoughts:
Another episode that is no more then average. While I am getting used to them... I still don't care too much for the new Sliders. At least there hasn't been any Kromaggs for a bit.

My Rating:

7. A Current Affair
A tabloid newspaper spreads a rumor that the president of the United States is having an affair with Maggie.

My Thoughts:
This one I liked a bit more. It started off a little on the slow side... but it did pick up and I found myself getting into the storyline.

My Rating:

8. The Java Jive
The sliders land on a world where caffeine is outlawed.

My Thoughts:
I found this one to be more boring then anything. Matter of fact... I felt like I was going to dose off watching it more then once during the episode.

My Rating:

9. The Return of Maggie Beckett
Maggie is mistaken for her astronaut double and is kidnapped by conspirators.

My Thoughts:
This one I enjoyed quite a bit. It has a good storyline and shows a bit more on the relationship between Maggie and her father.
