Jump In! - Average Disney fare starring Corbin Bleu as a boxer who becomes a double dutch skipper. Silly, but has enough to enjoy for the target audience and some of the double dutch scenes are admittedly impressive. 2.5/5

The Glimmer Man - Typical Seagal. Dodgy acting, some OTT action and some hilarious one-liners. This has quite an impressive supporting cast including early roles for Nikki Reed and Alexa Vega but more importantly the ever-underrated Stephen Tobolowksy. 3/5

The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black (1999)
Surprisingly good science film using the stranded on a mysterious and unknown planet theme wich is, in fact, a characters study. Some of the CGI effects are too obvious and bad looking for my taste (the "bat" ones is sure awfull) but it kept me interested for two hours.

The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
Too long, too complicated (seriously that movie use at least 5 different subplot) and way too much CGI for me... Very boring and lazy filmmaking if we compare with the first one who had at least a couple of good characters, an interesting religious aspect and a story that made sense.

After this I've no intention to get the next one who judging by how the second movie ends doesn't sound like a good time to me.

The Devil's Rejects - I had always put this one off after being left disappointed by other Rob Zombie movies, but this one is rightfully praised IMO. 4/5

I've been watching Game of Thrones (only 2 episodes left).

I also watched the restored (colour) version of Le Voyage dans La Lune (A Trip to the Moon) by Georges Méliès. An amazing restoration, and a fun little film.

27 Dresses - Seen before, knocking down from a 3.5 to just a 3/5.

Shrooms - Loved the final scene, but until then, it was a dire, poorly acted horror. 2/5

Saw "Love and other Disasters" starring Brittany Murphy. Boring as hell. Gave it a 2/5.

Spring Breakdown - Considering the cast which includes Amy Poehler, Missi Pyle, Amber Tamblyn, Sophie Monk, Jane Lynch, Parker Posey and Rachel Dratch, this is a disappointing comedy and I'm not surprised it went under the radar. In fact, I had never heard of it until it popped up on a list I was looking through Lovefilm Instant. 2/5

Herbie Goes Bananas - The worst of the original Herbie movies IMO. Still has some fun moments, but it was the racing scenes that made previous films for me when I was a kid and this hardly has any. I still like it though. 2.5/5

Friends with Benefits - Better than No Strings Attached from the same year IMHO. But everything considered still a standard formula romcom with a broken heart on her end right before the grand finale. But in the genre of standard formula romcom, it's in the upper half.
RomCom Rating:

Valentine's Day - MMRC - Massively Multiplayer Rom Com - same type of movie as Love Actually or New Year's Eve. I liked the characters involved and some of the twists actually were unexpected (like who's Bradley Cooper visiting). I also almost did not figure out who Julia Roberts is visiting before it happened and I loved the credit roll joke about her visiting a certain boutique on Hollywood Boulevard (and yet Hector Elizonda and Julia did not cross paths in this movie - missed opportunity). Yeah, it's watchable.

I definately agree with that. I thought both were enjoyable enough movies that I'll eventually buy when cheap.

Nine Lives - Piss poor UK horror with Paris Hilton in it. Strangely, she is the highlight of a poor bunch and it's a shame she isn't in it long. Amelia Warner should be embarrassed after so many very good roles before this like Mansfield Park. 1.5/5

It's a Boy Girl Thing - Typical body swap comedy albeit with slightly more risque humour than most. 3/5
