Did you ever read my review of Hue And Cry? I appreciated that because it was made clear this was an adult world, despite it being a kids caper for kids. At times it was real enough to be scary and that's how kids stories should be, not cartoon villains.

I agree, from what I knew about the type of story and what that part of the trailer showed there were quite some discrepancies...

It's not expensive, takes a short time to read and if you know anything about film, you should love it.yes, you should buy it!

So, I looked into availablility of a digital version... Strangely only the german version is available for Kindle/iBooks While Í could read that, I'd much rather have the original version

I saw the book when I was in the bookstore the other day.

Well, it would have been the Kindle program on the iPad, so still colorful...

But as I said, it seems I'd have to get the physical medium.

The iPad might have been ok. It's all black and white though, but part of its appeal for me was the dark, matte like pages.

I did flip through the book when I saw it.  Definitely different from any other book I've read.

Not surprising at all when you see it. As I tried to explain before, the story flows through the pictures as you turn the pages. Colour wouldn't have been so effective and bw suits the nature of the story too. I might be going mad but I was sure I read there was an idea to film it in bw too.

It's a complicated film to judge. I was right about one thing I picked up on in the trailer, sadly, but very wrong about a couple of others...
