OK, so who is looking forward to this? Johnny Depp and Verbinski re-team which was cancelled and then relit on a low budget.

Depp to Larry King:
Quote
What I like about Tonto is the idea that this character who is thought of as ‘the sidekick’—that’s the thing that always bugged me about The Lone Ranger is ‘Well why is the Indian the sidekick? Why does he have to go get you that thing?’ And I couldn’t stand that always. My approach to Tonto is that there’s this crazy like a fox stoicism to Tonto that Tonto probably believes that The Lone Ranger is his slave, his sidekick. So it’s like ‘Go get me the thing,’ ‘No, no, no you go get it. You’re the one dressed in the funny outfit, you go do it.’

I'm not a huge Depp fan, and didn't like the Pirates films (seen 1-3) so I'm currently on the fence.

I know that previously had an outrageously high budget (250mil...?) which was supposed to be cut to "only" ridiculously high budget. (200mil...?). It's what I heard, no links available.

I rememeber reading the comics from time to time. No interest in the movie at all.

Hmmm, I'm undecided on how this one is looking.

I saw a different trailer at the theater about a month ago.  I really liked it and am really looking forward to it.

Of course it is "Pirates of the Caribbean" meet "The Lone Range" but hey ... if you like Depp and you liked Pirates my guess is you will like this one.

The trailers found here are different than the one above.

Looks like good clean fun.  Having grown up on The Lone Range my bet is that IF Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels were still alive they would be very happy with this.
Thank you
David

I want to see it. I thought the trailers I've seen looked interesting.
