Today it has been announced that a director has been hired for the TZ movie... Matt Reeves, director of Cloverfield and Let Me In. Jason Rothenberg wrote the script after the first attempt by Rand Ravich (The Astronaut's Wife) was dismissed.

Good choice of director also IMO.
