I have read many times if Uwe Boll's name is on a movie to basically forget about it... not worth the time.
Of course this isn't true at all... Except for his movie based on game most of his other one are pretty good. In fact he haven't done an awfull film since Alone in the Dark (and it's mostly because of the really awfull CGI). I can go even farther and write that
Stoic is one of the best independant movie of the last two years.
