Topic: Wanted: Suggestion for western TV show

I know I shouldn't buy more TV shows, but I feel a hankering for a classic TV western, and I can't quite decide if it's going to be Gunsmoke or Have Gun, Will Travel. Maybe Have Gun is the safer bet, because if I get hooked on Season One, then there are only 5 more seasons to buy. Gunsmoke on the other hand...

Any suggestions which one to pick?

Well, you could reverse that thought:

If you really lie Have Gun, it will be over after merely five season. With Gunsmoke on the other hand, there'd almost be an unlimited supply

Seriously though, I think I am only familiar with Gunsmoke, which I used to watch as a kid. However, Roger is usually our resident western expert, he might be able to chime in with some more insight. (He doesn't log in quite that regular though.)

Well, I think if it was me I would go for "Have Gun Will Travel".  It is a bit darker and let's face it .. Richard Boone Kicks butt

My mom and step dad really like Gunsmoke and they have all the DVDs that are out so far.  They also like The Virginian.
They will watch Have Gun Will Travel on the western channel they get, but they don't have any of that one on DVD.  I can't remember now if I ever asked them if they want it either.  Hmmm.

Already have that. It's indeed very good. I'm also a McQueen fan.
