But... but it's Michael Caine!
Is it because of Jaws 4...? Any idea why you dislike him, or is that feeling "just there"?
Caine got heaps of respect from me for saying this: He is a family one with mouths to feed. So he needs jobs and of someone offers him money to be in a film, he'll be in it. He gets good money, he'll do his best. He gets little money, he'll only act a little.
Hence, Jaws 4, The Hand, the Killer Bees, etc...
My suggestion for B: Benji

But... but it's Michael Caine!
I honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone say they have issues with Michael Caine before.
Wait a minute....if you dislike him so much, how do you deal with him in Miss Congeniality?

I just always disliked him... don't know why. And was from way before I ever seen Jaws 4. And what can I say... I love Miss Congeniality despite how I dislike him. I guess how much I love Sandra Bullock allows me to ignore that he is in it.

Plot:
The hilarious Steve Martin (Father Of The Bride) and Academy Award® nominee Queen Latifah* (Chicago) star with Eugene Levy (American Pie) in the laugh-out-loud hit comedy Bringing Down the House. Peter Sanderson (Martin), a divorced, straitlaced, uptight, workaholic attorney, meets a brainy, bombshell lawyer in an online chat room and they make a date. Expecting his soul mate, he opens the door and finds himself face-to-face with Charlene (Latifah) — a wild and crazy soul sister who's just escaped from prison and wants Peter to clear her name. But Peter wants absolutely nothing to do with her, and that prompts Charlene to turn Peter's perfectly ordered life totally upside down. Hysterical complications abound and Peter soon finds out he may need Charlene just as much as she needs him. It's a houseful of fun your family will enjoy again and again.

My Thoughts:
I decided to watch this one next because today (8/14) is Steve Martin's 66th birthday. So wanted to watch something with him in it I haven't seen before... this was the only thing I had left that I haven't watched yet. It isn't a bad comedy... but there really isn't anything special about it either. I would say it is worth watching... but at the same time it isn't something I see watching very often. Over-all just an average comedy with a couple chuckles in it.

This is the first time I ever seen
Cellular
. It is one of the many movies that were given to me this past year. This one I actually enjoyed quite a bit. Kept my interest from beginning to end. Some pretty good action and chase scenes. If you haven't had the chance to do so yet... I would say it is definitely worth checking out... I recommend it.

I want to vote
Dreamgirls
,
The Doors
or
Dirty Dancing
just because you need more music in your life!
I would go with something you haven't seen - knock one off your unwatched pile too.
I like the following because they are based on actual events and people:
Dreamers
is quite good - it has lots of sex though so watch it before letting Brit see it.

Every one I watch in this thread is knocking one off my unwatched pile.
My unwatched pile includes all the DVDs I haven't watched since getting them... whether I seen the movie or not. Though I will probably go with one I
NEVER
seen before.

My Thoughts:
I been curios about checking this one out since it was given to me a few months back. For the past week or so my daughter Brittany has been watching the anime series... and raving about it... which renewed my curiosity on the movies. So I figured this was the perfect chance to watch the first one.
I must say... I enjoyed this movie very much. I got a kick out of how they did the Shinigami in this movie and hope to see him as part of the sequel. Though I don't know why he wouldn't be. I found Light to be an interesting character. A person that was actually a bit darker then the first impression they gave us. Now when it came to "L"... I thought he was a bit on the strange side... but not so strange it took away from the character or story. He does seem to have some weird fascination with food.
As I said... over-all I enjoyed every minute of this one. It easily kept my attention from beginning to end. Definitely one I feel comfortable recommending to others. I am looking forward to the sequel... though I think I am going to try to save it for another day instead of jumping right into it.

Now, the detective finds himself in a deadly race against time to prevent this modern vampiress from claiming another victim in this supernatural thriller inspired by actual events.

My Thoughts:
I decided to check this one out today because I felt like watching a horror movie I haven't seen yet. And the plot of this one sounded interesting at least. And it saying that this story was "
Inspired by Actual Events
" didn't hurt. I went in knowing it could go either way. While I enjoyed this one... it's slow pace did lessen the enjoyment some. Though it still has a good story. I would really like to see another (preferably a little better) movie inspired by Countess Elizabeth Bathory. I have heard of her story before... but this is the first movie I have seen dealing with her.
